6.5hp self propelled yardman mower..looking for cable layout and spring diagrams for a better visual..they said it ran but someone tried to fix it

What usually causes this is called belt stretch, this happens due the weather and the heat from the engine

there is a panel in front of the gear that completes the curve of the blade path that you can remove with a single bolt on the outside of the mower between the wheel and the deck
