Is it set up to print? If so how do the prints come out? Also, what make and model?

Photocopies are not clear even after increasing image intensity.

if you have over approx. 60-100k copies on the machine it sounds like you may need regular maintaince on the machine.
to check how many copies you have press the user tools/counter button and then press counter.

Bad copies with white lines on paper sharp color copier AR C172M. opc drum or fuser?

could be either or LSU glass, or charge corona. inspect drum and fuser and look for similar patterns. do a skyshot (open the platen cover to make a black copy) and stop the copy process while the image is being formed (hit copy with the cover up, wait just a second, and open the side door while it still running the copy). This will jam it but you can see the toner on the drum and look for patterns.

Photocopier producing skewed finished copies. What can be the problem?

If the image is skewed on your paper, you have a registration bushing broken.

If the image is OK on the paper, look for a piece of paper or a little thing in the way of copy

What does opc belt do ?

OPC Belt (Organic Photo Conductor)
A photoconductor is a material that conducts electricity only when exposed to light. Photocopiers and laser printers have a large roller or belt coated with photoconductive material. As this drum turns it is electrically charged by a high voltage corona wire. The next step is to reflect an image using a laser beam or reflected light from mirrors onto the drum as it turns neutralizing the charge where light hits leaving a latent image or static charge in the shape of the image you want to copy.

The next step is to turn the roller past a brush made of toner (colored plastic particles). The static charge will pull the particles onto the charged area of the drum forming an image you can see, next feed a piece of paper onto this turning drum, as you do apply an opposite charge using a second high voltage wire (transfer corona) to the back side of the paper, causing the paper to stick to the toner/drum (opposite charges attract). Separate the paper from the drum using a high voltage alternating current (separation corona wire). Melt the toner into the paper with hot rollers. This will create a black and white image.

I have a 2430dl and it is leaving lines on my copies is this the drum

Send a print to the unit, open printer when paper is in drum area (guess and open a door or turn off, to stop the printer) open carefully, remove carefully and look at the paper, are the lines there, pull drum unit, flip open drum protection door if equipt, and look at the partial image on it, If the lines were imaged on the drum, replace drum unit. No marks on drum or paper yet, posible the fusing section roller is damaged and marking pages. Stop test will show where defect starts.

White paper out put

Hi,
does it occure when you print or when you copy?

First check transfer roller in left sideway door ( long black roller ) maybe it felt down at one side.
Check laser unit shutter.
when making copies does the scaner flash? If not there is your problem.
While making copie aprox. when paper comes on drum open the leftsideway door and check if the "image is on the drum surface. If yes that means that you have transfer issues.

Maybe its stupid but do you have toner inside?

Not photocopying

Open side, look at black assembly on the door, there is either a black spongy roller there or two wires in a black assembly,

1- wires may be broken resulting in blank copies
2- roller out of place
3- HVT (high voltage transformer) not working

There are white lines ony my photocopies

You need to be more specific with your diagnosis.

1- are they black or white lines?
2- does it happen when you put the paper in the feeder ( on top)?
3- what about if you put it directly on the glass?
4- do faxes come out OK?
