First try the color calibaration in the printer
then adjust the x-axis & y-axis in the registration area
if both options not working cold reset the printer

There is a setting in the menu to adjust
go to Configuration
adjust color

you have to determine which way to adjust it on a X and Y axis

try changing the number X to a high # to see which way it moves then adjust from there.

We currently have a HP LaserJet 4600dn. The printer has been working perfectly fine for the last 9 months, however, today the printer does not seem to want to work. I tried printing a confirguration page...

Try changing the port on the router.
Also you can follow the cable from the printer to the router.
Check that the cable has not been damaged.
Replacing the cable and trying another port on your router is the cheapest option
before the HP Technicians come out.
Good Luck

Colors do not match up

Have you tried a few alignments? Also you can try turning the printer on and when you start hearing the alignment turn the printer off ... do this a few times and see if this helps.
Also you can try to manually align the cartridges.. to do this turn the printer off. Open the front cover to reveal the cartridges. On the right hand side you can see some gears. Try to turn one of these slightly.. one click (1mm) should do it. Now turn the printer on and let it align itself

HP color laser 4600dn FAN noise

Yes this is normal. Everytime someone prints, the printer exits power saving mode and the fan will stay on. If you leave it on and don't print to it overnight, the fan would shut off in the mornig. But you probably turn the printer off everynight and are printing all day, so you don't really have to expectthe fan to power down unless its not being used for an long period of time idleing.

HP Deskjet 6540 Alignment

Yeah, the only thing that can cause this is paper feed problems.

There must be either something loose in the paper feed mech (look for wobbling "tires") or there is still some paper or other foreign debris in the paper feed path.
