Make sure the water is actually getting to the fridge ...there should be a valve to turn the water on and off at the back of the fridge ...just follow the water line

Ice maker wont work

The ice maker gets its water from the filter too. If there is NO water getting to the ice maker then look at the solenoid that lets the water into the ice maker. If water seems to be frozen to the underside of the Ice maker, take the unit out and allow it to dry before putting it back in.

Installed new valve, getting water to valve but ice maker will not cycle or call for water

GE's ice makers are harvestable, means you can manually tell the ice maker to harvest or cycle. Turn ice maker off, went 5 seconds, turn ice maker back on, tap the paddle 3 times (push the paddle inward completely) then it should cycle, may have a delay like 20 second. I hope this helps.

Ice maker doesn't work

Unplug Ice maker from plug on inside wall, remove and let thaw. Don't worry when removed the water will not enter the freezer. Let me know if this works as I get very little support from LG. Thanks, Se Breeze

Frozen water in ice tray

You do need to thaw the ice maker out completely. I always remove it but that may be more than you are up to. You can also try a hair dryer on it to thaw it out.

Water Doesn't get in

Once you get the ice maker solid block cleaned out, you need to re-prime it by pouring in fresh water using a cup to just below the blades. It will not kick out ice and refill until the temperature sensor senses the frozen ice. With no water in the tray, it can't sense. It must dump to trigger the refill.
