Have you tried the manufacturers site at either craftsman or sears. You should be able to find it there. You will need your model #.

Usually you just hold down the button in the visor, and while you're holding it down, aim your garage door opener at it and hold that button down so the frequency is grabbed by the built-in opener. That's how it worked in a few other cars that I've seen - try it out and see if it works for yours.

did you use the manual release to unlatch the door from the opener? You may have a problem with the door binding and opening it manually will confirm that. You may also have misaligned the sensors at the base of the door so check that too.

You should have two buttons on the unit in the garage, press the first one and the light should go off, if it's like my Chaimberlain the light signals that the remote is locked out.

This problem is most commonly caused by a bad wall control or the wiring to it. The staples holding the wires can cut through the insulation and cause intermittent shorting. The wall control goes bad from constant use.
