SOURCE: CARRIER MODEL 38YCA030370 MAKES HIGH PITCH ELECTRICAL HUMMING NOI

Yes it could be the pop off pressure relief on the compressor.
I assume it is the outdoor fan your referring to not running.

If this is a heat pump and it is in defrost (only in the heating mode should your outdoor fan be off and then for only a max of 12 to 15 minutes).
If it is just AC ir is Heat pump in cool mode, the out door fan should run while the compressor and indoor fan are on. Until the thermostat is satisfied on room temp.

This high pitched squealing is indicative of a bad fan motor or capacitor for the out door fan motor. Kill power and test blades to see if turns free. Check the run capacitor inside control panel. It is usually silver or aluminum colored (some are painted gray). The top should be flat with rolled edges and the sides should either be round or oval shaped with no swelling or oil leaking from inside it. If this all looks normal take it to where your going to get a motor any way and ask them to check it or sell you a replacement at the same time. These can go out usually from high voltage (lighting...) or from over heating (bad fan motor, dirty out door coil...).

Hope this helps you if not post back I'll respond as soon as I can. And please rate me as high as you can. Thank you for using Fix ya and good luck.

SOURCE: little gray box electric timer. the clock dial

You may need to replace the timer motor. I believe you can purchase this part directly from the little gray box company - not their name, as you know - Find the company name on the label inside the box.

SOURCE: BUZZING NOISE LIKE 60 CYCLE HUM, CHECKED CORDS AND MIXER AND POWE

When the speaker is connected only at the power line does it makes this noise?

  • If it does it's an internal amplifier's ploblem and you have to check out some fittings (electrolytic capacitorsat the power supply, power supply transformer, voltage stabilizers e.t.c.)
  • If the speaker is quiet you have to check your external wiring because there is a loop ground. That means that one "ground level" line is connected at the ground by two or more cables (e.g. the audio ground and the grond from the mains power source) In this case disconnect the second (and the 3rd e.t.c.) grounding point.
In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply.

SOURCE: My portable top load kenmore

I just repaired this exact model this weekend. If the machine will drain but doesn't agitate or spin (you have to put a screwdriver in the lid switch to see), it's usually a loose belt. This time I replaced the belt, but it still would not agitate or spin, and the motor was not turning, just a "buzz, buzz, buzz" when the washer attempted to supply power to the motor. The start capacitor for the motor was bad. Part number 3429938 which runs about $60. Not hard to access once you tip the washer over slightly, just DISCHARGE THE OLD CAPACITOR so you don't get a nasty shock.

I have asked my question twice It has not been answered yet WHY?

Hard call without seeing the failure.

No hot water? Does the heating light come on? If so, then the element is gone. Not economical to replace it.

Humming sound? What frequency? Is it a pump that runs continuously? If a tube is broke, it might be repairable. A bad pressure sensor will not be.

If the sound is a 60 cycle low hum you may have an electrical failure and possibly a dangerous machine. A wiring problem has a small possibility of repair.

Add water light stays on when the reservoir is full

I have the SPT IM-100 Portable Ice Maker. After about 2 months, it stopped, telling me that it needed water, when of course it was full of water. I did alot of digging on the Internet to find a solution. There was none. It finally occurred to me that the water sensor might be calcified with our hard water here in Reno. BINGO!!!! I ran several cycles with lemon juice and vinegar (you pick your favorite non-toxic acid), and the damned thing started up again as if brand new.

Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked • Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is

running. • Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects • If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

The motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If "Sud" is displayed a potential suds lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.
