GE DL213908 Side by Side Refrigerator not freezing or cooling properly

It doesn't cool
  1. Condenser coils
Make sure you dust off the condenser coils to prevent dust build up and overheating due to it overworking. Simply unplug and use a long coil cleaning brush to get rid of debris.
  1. Check seals
If your refrigerator door seal is broken, warm air is pushing its way inside the unit, thus causing it to not cool properly. Prevent this from happening by replacing your seal and keeping the cool air inside.
  1. Temperature controls
Ensure that your thermostat is set correctly, usually 38-40 degrees Fahrenheit.
  1. Defective condenser fan
When this fan is defective, cold air is prevented from flowing through the vents. It may require replacement.
  1. Compressor issues
Check if there are clicking sounds coming from the compressor as it tries to start. If there is a clicking, it is one of only two options, either the start capacitor or a bad compressor. A start capacitor is fairly inexpensive whereas a sealed system repair on the compressor is very expensive and often not cost effective. Refrigerator Repair Help Troubleshooting and Parts

2009 chevy aveo ac problems

If the system is running right, a quick check is to see if the cold side of the compressor lines are sweating/condensation. Then most likely the system is good. The A/C filter, called a dryer, isn't changed unless you have a catastrophic compressor failure, ie lots of metal in the lines. The cabin air filter has nothing to do with the A/C system. Assuming you have a good system and not getting cool air inside the cabin. The blend door motor is bad or it could be just unplugged. These are usually locate under the dash, in front of the console, on the drivers side. Some times on the passenger side. I do many makes and models of cars, So I can't tell you exactly where yours is. Hope this helps.

3gal craftsman horizontal compressor wont build pressure

Without knowing specifics of your unit, If there are three reeds, then two are probably for intake and one for exhaust. Intake reeds should be on the piston side of the valve plate, discharge reed should be on the head side.

There should be a divider in the head side to separate the inlet from the discharge. Make sure the valve plate is turned so that the air from the air filter side goes to the side with the intake valves, and the air from the discharge valve should go to the side with the pipe to the tank.

My central heating and air unit is blowing inside but nothing is turning outside; no cool air

The first thing I would check is the breaker/disconnect that feeds your outside unit with electricity. If it seems fine then i would check the electrical contact/relay that energizes the compressor. Low voltage from your thermostat is sent to a small coil in the contact/relay that is energized to pick up a set of contacts. These contacts allow the supply voltage to flow through them to turn on your compressor and fan. If your thermostat is in the on position, have an electrician use a meter to see if there is voltage on either/both sides of the contact. If it is only on the supply side, then you probably have a bad contact. Fairly inexpensive fix if you are a do-it-yourselfer. Also, make sure that your thermostat is sending out a signal to the contact. A meter will show you a low voltage signal if it is working.

Two Problems, 1. Turn signal does't work, fuses appear to be good

Flasher and signals have separate flashers.
Remove the pocket at the top of the right side of the fairing. you should be able to get to the switch from there.
The air compressor has a fuse too. Fuses are behind the left fairing cover just below the seat.

Fridge not blowing cold, Buzzing inside black ball "compressor"

The black ball you are reffering to is the compressor. It is trying to start..that is the buzzing. The start, and overload relay is probably bad..hopefully.Because if it isn't the compressor may be bad.Where your wires plug into the compressor...this is the relay.it should come off fairly easy.It is much cheaper to replace this part..than buying a new fridge. For instance i buy them for g.e. refrigerators all the time from an appliance repair shop at cost, and they are less than 4 dollars for me.So I assume they aren't too expensive retail.

Freezer is working good but the fresh food side is warm.

I will need to get a little more information to help you better. Sounds like the defrost timer is bad but I will need a number like for example 915.125869
Let me know, Thanks Sea Breeze
Look at following areas for the model number
  • Beneath Or Inside Food Compartment On Cabinet Frame
  • On Plate Lower Front Or Rear Of Cabinet
  • Beside Compressor Door On Right End
  • Near Rear Of Cabinet
  • Inside Liner At Top

Pop full of ice

Sandy, this sounds like a bad thermostat. First: does the unit seem to run continuously? Try this: turn the stat to a position near 'off'. Does the compressor turn off? If not: change the stat. Before you do: check the position of the thermostat bulb. On some units, you can see a thick silvery 'wire' coming out of the thermostat housing. It should be fairly straight and generally located near an air duct inside the unit. If it has become dislodged, put it back. If it is broken or kinked, it needs to be changed. Be sure to unplug your fridge before working on this!

Other possible problems: You may have either low gas or a bad defrost timer. Low gas generally will show up as frost on one side of your freezer compartment and airflow will be fairly low when the fan is running. The defrost timer, used to schedule a defrost cycle is generally not a big problem on GE/Hotpoints, though.
