Question about Lands Phones

1 Answer

HI I have a radio shack phone 5.4GHZ and when we are on the phone and the phone rings and we do not do call waiting..it goes to voice mail. However, we are unable to retreive any voiced mail messages. People have been telling us they have left messages and we don't know how to retreive these messages. We get other messages when we are NOT on the phone however. ther is a CID99 sign on our phone. I have a feeling these messages might be sitting there but we cannot find them. ANy help?

CID99 simply states your Caller ID log is full.
It will not go any higher.
When a new number calls - the oldest one is deleted.
I will need the model # off the phone before assisting any further.

Please accept this answer to remove it from the work queue, and re-post with the correct model # for additional help.

Thanks!!

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do I increase the number of rings before it goes to voice mail

What type of phone is this? Most home phones have a setting in them to adjust the number of rings. Retrieving voice mails requires the voice mail be set up first. To assist you further, please provide more details.

Phone not ringing

Go to Settings-Call Settings and increase the number of rings before the phone goes to Voice Mail. You may have inadvertently set it to 0.

Nor ringing long enough before going to voice mail

Try going into your settings/call settings/call divert.
Go into Call Divert and cancel all diverts.
This should solve your problem.

Call Waiting

THere are two answers to you question, depending on certain options and conditions.

First, where is the voice mail and where is the call waiting coming from?

1. If Voice Mail (VM) is located in the central office and you have a destination for call forward BUSY/NO ANSWER it will go to CO VM.

2. If Voice Mail on premise (Partner Mail), and you have CF BUSY/NO ANSWER set on your phone, it will go to voice mail....IF the call waiting is coming from another line. The CF and ring count is set in Partner system programming.

3. If you have call waiting coming on the same phone line and don't have CO VM, then you have no voice mail.

My CO codes for VM are 72# for Call Forwarding and *92 for CF Busy.

As Always, YMMV
