How do i install trigger kit in qtimax

Unfortunately IR does not have a maintenance manual for this model, but you can use the manual for a model 2131.
The air inlet assembly is slightly different on both models but the parts kit will fit both models, assembly and disassembly are the same.
Follow this link for a maintenance manual:

Ingersoll Rand model 2100G air impact wrench turns without pressing the trigger when air is applied to it. What is causing this?

you will need to replace part # 2131-D565 inlet bushing assyand you will need part# 2131-322 inlet removal tool to remove the old assy.http://www.searspartsdirect.com/
you push in the tabs on each side of handle with tool and slide assembly out then push new assembly in until clip tabs click then all done.

I have a ingersoll rand 231c 1/2 impact wrench that is almost brand new, have had no problems with daily use until today when the trigger will not move.

The IR231c is equipped with a throttle valve stem (item # 9) that is prone to oxidation and causes a stuck trigger condition. Remove the air strainer assembly (item # 10), followed by the spring (item # 8) then the throttle valve (item # 6) you will see the throttle valve stem (item # 9) spray some penetrating lube, if severely stuck it may be necessary to remove the trigger and pushing the throttle valve stem from the top.
Follow this link to see the parts diagram.

Model 734 1/2 in impact.wont blow air ,wont rotate,no tension on trigger.feel like problem may somehow be in trigger housing....

Yes, if you take it apart you'll find that the trigger isn't allowing air to pass through to the veins of the impact wrench. It's a relatively simple mechanism, where maybe something is broken inside.

If it were blowing air but the veins were stuck, I would say, lubricate it. But, if no air goes through it at all, then the trigger housing houses the problem part.

Have you tried to disassemble the air wrench?

The foward and reverse button/slide does not lock in place.it will slide past the correct working point, and if you do get in the correct spot it wont stay.

The locking ball spring is bad, you can remove the spring and stretch it to add tension to the spring so that the ball locks the trigger assembly in place. If you need more help post here and here is a web page for parts and books with diagrams.
