Make sure your print/record speed is 25mm/sec. Most machines have settings of 50mm/sec or 25mm/sec. I bet yours is set to 50mm/sec. RJ

SOURCE: EKG Machine
3 lead machines are designed to monitor the cardiac rhythm cycle, in 3 of the 12 primary leads. An attempt to use this limited information as a true diagnostic tool would be incomplete and perhaps misleading.
A full 12-lead machine is diagnostic, and looks at the elecrical information from all sides ("walls", ie anterior, septal, inferior, lateral, posterior) of the heart and gives detailed information regarding ischemia and or infarction of the cardiac muscle, electrical conduction system function, electrical axis, chamber enlargement, drug effects, and more.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: lower half or EKG would not print properly
You should purchase a printer kit. This is a common problem I have encoutntered on this machine and this machine is identical to the Seca CT6I. I have ordered the printer kit from Seca in the UK, the part number is 9740490024 at a cost of £70. It is a straightforward repair.

SOURCE: GE MAC1000ekg not printing clearly
The heat on the print head can fade over time giving you a poor print. also the feed roller can wear and give poor pressure to the print head. thw way to diagnose it is to put a peice of electrical tape on the print roller and print an ekg. if it prints well in the area where the tape was, it is the print roller. if there is no change it is the print head.
