1 Answer

Hi I have a westinghouse 904. It stopped working. I found that it wasn't heating the water. The elemet looked fine so we replaced the thermostat The one that has the safety switch and now it goes to wash then it works for 5 seconds then stops. I have tried to use all settings including eco but stops at the same place everytime. It then flashes on normal.

After you replaced the thermostat did you run the engine with the radiator cap of for 20-30 minutes? If you did not then chances are you have an air bubble in your cooling system. If you remove your radiator cap and run your engine for 20-30 minutes that should solve your problem. Be sure you have extra water or coolant on hand when you do this because you may lose some during this process. If you want you can look in the tips section of this site. I have a step by step instructions as how to do this on there. I hope this helps you out.

Hi, I recently got my 2005 Audi A4 2.0 TDI serviced by an AUDI garage. They replaced the timing belt and water pump as well. After I left the garage i realised my heating wasnt working correctly....

i would get a water pump from the dealer and install it, In some cases i found that after market water pumps don't have the same clearance between the pump housing and the propeller.this causes less water flow.

Hi there, did you ever find out what was wrong with your dishwasher? I have a Westinghouse 904 doing the same thing but when we moved into this house the manual was long lost. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Dishwasher not emptying

either the pump is not working or the discharge hose is clogged, if you have an air gap on the sink take the hose off and hold it down see if the water comes out by tself if so the pump is bad if not the drain is colgged take out the bottom tray you will need a 1/4 inch nut driver take the plastic screen cover plate off clear it of debris, there is a sharp metal blade in there so be careful, after cleaning it out turn on to rinse and see if it drains if not you will need to either replace the dishwasher or the pump, dollar for dollar new dishwasher time
