Question about Water Water Heaters
You can replace with any brand and size to suite your need. But I believe they don't sell you and let you to install by yourself.
You have to buy it in and pay installation fee then they'll
bring in and install for you.

Rheem wants customers to call trained service technician since error codes are start-place for troubleshooting, and problems can be combination of issues.
Risk of CO poisoning from improper vent, or clogged drain line causing damage to heat exchanger, and risk of homeowner working on complicated gas-burning appliances are reasons why Rheem instruction manuals recommend yearly maintenance by trained technician.
That maintenance would typically cover most common error code issues, and homeowner could gather tips and information from service tech.

If you mean that it does not turn off the power, shut down the breaker. I guess that when you said "overflow" you were talking about the P and T valve blowing off.
You need to replace the themo stat right away, change upper and lower. You can buy a kit from any hardware box store that will have the uppper and lower in a kit.
You need to be very careful of this is that valve was not opening up to let off the pressure that tank can blow up and its a rocket I have seen 4 that have done that in my 40 plus years of doing this and each time. Well its bad.
Be safe be careful
