Question about Samsung Televison & Video
LED samsung tv screen will turn dark, although still back lit, after a random period of watching. I don't know if it is power supply or tcon board problem
A lot of these smart televisions have an autoset configuration where you can go in and set it to auto dim when the outside ambient light changes. It can also be put on a timer. Saying it is at random may be because of both of these features being active at the same time. I would go into the settings and check these settings.
Lastly, the signal you are receiving can change which can cause the auto dim to kick in.
If this does not resolve you issue, you may have a back light going out and I would recommend taking it to a reputable repair shop for evaluation.
Hope this helps.

Samsung is known for producing
high-quality LCD televisions with excellent imaging and sound.
Unfortunately, LCD televisions, like all electronics, are subject to
problems on occasion. Common Samsung LCD problems include a television
with sound but no picture, sometimes due to a faulty power supply.
Although these problems can be difficult to fix by yourself, it is sometimes possible to extend your television's warranty by contacting Samsung.
