I need a hard reset for my hp ipaq rx3115

Look at the very bottom of your iPAQ. Screen should be facing up. To the far left of the charger port there is a small black circle. Use a ball point pen, or other small diameter object, and insert the tip into the black hole to firmly but gently "tap" the button that is inset in the hole. This should activate a hard reset. Do not touch or otherwise mess with any buttons while the reset is in progress. Depending on what is loaded on your iPAQ this could take a few minutes.

Hello, I have a 40" Samsung LCD flatscreen. My television has a 2.5" diameter black spot on the far left side about 4" from the bottom of the screen, Also we have a dark transparent band across the bottom...

Sorry Sir but your LCD TV got wet... it can be splash with too much water, an animal urinate on the panel, etc....
this kind of black spot is caused when the LCD Panel Terminals got wet, this terminals are located at the lower side of the LCD Panel.

Black 2inch line going down right side of screen

hi all .ive had the same problem,a thick black line down screen.sometimes it flickers from top to bottom and other permantly in view.but i have solved it.forget your ic boards and taking apart tv.have you got either a ps3 or wii connected to tv.if so unplug power lead from socket and relocate in seperate socket.make sure the lead is completely free of any other leads and you might just find this works.i think the power lead creates some sort of frequency that the tv picks up .good luck hope it works

Monitor displays a black half circle 1.5 inch diameter in upper left conrner of screen.

Depending on the age of the monitor, this could be a symptom of a failing LCD display (or CRT tube, if you're using one of the older styled big ones). one way to test for sure though, is if you have access to another computer (whether it be desktop or laptop, shouldn't matter) and hook it up to that one and see if the same thing happens. If it does, then you know that your monitor is at fault. If you are within manufacturer's warranty you can usually get it repaired through your place of purchase, or directly with the manufacturer themselves, but if not, then repairs are usually not worth it, and will probably cost more than the monitor is currently worth.
