If you had a storm, and the only handset that works shows line in use, then your base has gone bad and needs repair. The reason the phones are flashing base 1 or something to that effect is because they don't see the base anymore, which typically means no phones will see your base, so its odd that one phone is actually seeing the base. Either way, you can try re-registering the phones to the base, but if you get the line in use after they register (if they will register), then your base is bad. You need to reset the main base unit. Unplug the power from the back of the base. While the power is disconnected, press and hold the delete key while reconnecting the power. Wait for a long beep tone. When the display shows 88 or P, press play button one time. If you have a phone without an answering machine, disconnect the power from the back of the base, press and hold find hs button while reconnecting power.
