My computer screen continuously turns black and the only way to get it back to normal is to press the little rubber button near the power button. After it returns to normal, it turns black within 5...

I think the little rubber button must be the one in the lower corner of the plastic face that goes around the screen? If so you have one of several problems.

1. That little rubber button is a screw cover and it conceals a small Phillips head screw that may be loose and shorting the wire that carries the signal to your screen. Gently pry out the little button and carefully tighten the screw.

2. If that doesn't solve your problem, here is the first of the further possibilities. A little panel behind that same screen border of plastic (it called the "bezel") named the "inverter" has a loose plug or is wearing out.

3. The LCD (screen) has a plug attached to the wire that runs by the screw behind the bumper which is loose inside where it plugs into the motherboard.

These problems need to be checked by someone very familiar with taking apart and repairing laptops. But at least now, you know what the problem might be and can talk to a repair guy about it and not get taken advantage of.

Best of Luck!

HOW TO FIX BUGABOO WHITE SEAT BUTTONS

To fix it yourself, you need to disassemble the buttons, which can be done with two screwdrivers one a thin slot type the other a Phillips. Here is the process: 1. On the other side of the white button unit is a screw. Remove it using a Phillips screwdriver.
macnutz_25.jpg
2. You'll now have a black housing with a white button held in by three white tabs. 3. Free the white button from the housing by pressing inwards on each of the three tabs with the slot type screwdriver.
macnutz_26.jpg
4. You'll now have a black base, a spring and a white button. Pay attention to how the two black parts align to each other so you re-assemble it correctly.
macnutz_28.jpg.
5. Pop the white button out of the upper black surround. Sand the circumference of the white button evenly until it slips easily in and out of the black surround. A little silicon spray is a good idea.macnutz_27.jpg
6. Reassemble unit and check it has full movement (see photo below). macnutz_30.jpg
7.
On the underside of the button unit a ramp shape should lineup with an opening in the bottom edge.macnutz_33.jpg
8. Fit button unit back into upper seat leg, Fit lower seat leg aligning it to the back of the button unit so the push rod in the lower seat leg pushes on to the ramp on the button unit. Note the seat button will not come out and lock until the seat is fitted back on to the chassis pushing the rod up to push the button out to the lock position. Once you have fitted the back screw in you can use a large screw driver to push down the inside of the lower leg to check the white button pops out and locks. If you have any resistance dismantle again to check alignment and the condition of the interlocking teeth of the button and the outer rings. Sand of any burrs and use a little silicon grease. Reassemble and test again.
Repeat operation to the other side if necessary. Buttons are not interchangeable so doing one side at a time avoids mixing them up.
If the tabs on the white button are broken you can buy a new button unit as a part www.babycare.nl/bugaboo-cameleon-seat-frame-push-buttons-p-2664.html

Chevrolet Blazer 4.3 Alternator removal

Unhook the battery terminals. Loosen the tensioner pulley and remove the belt from the pulley (if there's no belt routing 2_bing.gifdiagram under the hood, draw one first). * Unplug the 4 pronged black wire that goes into the back. Unscrew the 10mm bolt that holds on the positive lead cable to the alternator. Take out the upper and lower bolts on the alternator. Check the back and see if it still has the black support rod bolted onto it. If it does, then remove that bolt also. GENTLY pry the alternator loose under the lower mount (be careful these alternator brackets have a tendency to break if forced too much).

* Sometimes it's easier to remove the wires after the unit is unbolted and loose, just a matter of ease and preference.

If this pertained to your vehicle, please take the time to rate it, as I took the time to write it. Thank you.

Digistar PH-4210D Black Screen

Plasma tvs do not have "back lights" LCDs do. you probably have a bad driver board along with the upper or lower buffer board or maybe both, best to have a tv shop look at it.

Door switch black connectors bad?

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or occasionally a problem on the control panel.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside. Its continuity must be checked.

Door switch or mount trouble can be caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly.

Sometimes it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. Other times, it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. This tab can be hard to see, since it is under the bottom edge of the switch.

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical information on safety, disassembly and door switches at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa:.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There may also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

If you think the problem is on the control panel, we repair these nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in most cases.

Please write back with your brand and model number if you need further help.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Cannot open the door Dacor Model DMO24S

You will need to remove the outer wrapper, then separate the control panel from the microwave by removing the screw and then lifting the panel up and away. If you disconnect any wires, be sure to mark them, make a diagram or take photos first so you get them all back exactly where they were. The attached photo shows the area where two locking tabs are located. They must be gently pushed in to allow the door open button and spring to be removed. The door open button is part # 86778 (if your oven is black or stainless, part # 86778 if your color is arctic) and it can be obtained from a Dacor distributor such as http://www.apdepot.com This should be the same as a Sharp model R330BK (black model) and you can order that door open button from Tritronics. It is part # JBTN-B088WRF0 and they are at http://www.wehaveparts.com
