Fault3e coming up onscreen

Faulty motor in your washing machine.

Samsung uses the 3E error code to indicate a drive motor tach fault. If that sounds complicated, it's not. If you're handy, you can fix your Samsung front load washing machine error code yourself.
Below is a list of several things you can try before ordering and replacing parts to fix the 3E fault code.

How To Fix 3E Samsung Washer Error Code:

1. Unplug The Washing Machine:
Unplug the washer for 2-3 minutes. If the fault is displayed because of an electronic glitch, or communication issue, unplugging the washer for several minutes may possibly reset the electronic panel. Make sure to leave the washer unplugged for at least 2-3 minutes. Leaving unplugged for that long will allow the capacitors located on the printed control board will discharge. letting the capacitors completely discharge is the best way to reset these electronic control boards.
2. Check Wire Connections On Drive Motor:
One fairly common issue that causes the 3E error code is connection problems. Double check the wire harness on the motor. To do so you will need to remove the small back access panel to see the motor and connections. On the back right side you'll see the motor and the motor wie harness. If this was my call I would remove the connection and check the inside of the molex connection. Sometimes the contacts inside the contain burn/melt. If that check good examine the first several inches of the wire as it leaves the molex connector. I've seen the wire break a couple inches away several times. I'm not sure if it's from stress or friction but I've seen it a couple times so double check that.
3. Check Wire Connections On Control Board:
The control board could possibly have a faulty wire connections or loose connection. Not very common at least not in my area but it could happen so It's worth mentioning. Double check each connection on the control board. Make sure each connection is tight and the wires are not pinched are burnt anywhere. Again if this was my service call I would remove each wire one at a time and plug back in making sure each wire connection is seated tightly. That just ensures everything is good and sound and one more thing is ruled out.
4. Check Hall Sensor:
The hall sensor on the back of the washer monitors the speed and direction of the tub. The sensor can be out of range or it could also have a faulty wiring connection. I've also seen the wire harness on the motors hall sensor break. I know of other technicians who have seen the same issue. Double check the hall sensor. If you have a multimeter, you could ohm the sensor out. You can ohm the sensor out from the board or directly at the sensor. If you tested the hall sensor from the board, that would rule out a broken wire at the same time. That's usually how I test these hall sensors. You don't have to slide the unit forward and you can test it from the front.
Finally if all the above test good. The motor is going to most likely need to be replaced to fix the fault code. The motor on these units are actually very reliable. Unfortunately a few of them most have made it out of the factory with issues because the 3E error code on Samsung washers is becoming more and more common. I used to see this code very rarely. In the last two months I bet I've seen it 3-4 times. Electronics Appliances Tablets Laptops Phones TVs Samsung US

LE error (checked stator and replaced HAll sensor already)

If the control board does not receive the input it will not operate does the door lock? However:
The attachment shows how to diagnose and repair a failed hall sensor, the usual cause of
an LE error code.

DO NOT replace the stator until the hall sensor has been tested. 98% of LE error codes are
caused by failed hall sensors.

[DD motor SVC check process ]

Pre Check
1) Gentle wash cycles, such as Perm Press, Delicates, Hand Wash, and Wool/Silk should only be used for
smaller loads. Because these cycles are more gentle in tumbling and spinning, putting too much in the
drum can register an issue with the motor. Remove items, reset unit and test with a Rinse/Spin cycle.
2) Don't replace the PCB when the hall sensor is replaced.
Check the hall sensor as shown in the new process.
O have a file I can send but can not upload here if you want it, contact me melissamaemartin@yahoo.com please put hall sensor in subject line. Thanks

Samsung Model WF317AAS/XAA seems to be having problem with the board. I changed the drain pump, the pump is fine but when I put on a full cycle it do not complete. It stops at Rinse and then a nd code...

It ispossible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errorsdue to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main programcontroller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting fromthe flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit thewater at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then thevoltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to novoltage from the controller. This meansthe controller is a suspect. If thewater flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not theinlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at theinlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVELSENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen levelto give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What ismost important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch mustbe ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor forrinse and wash.Check thislink to replace the inlet valve:http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1408/how-to-replace-the-inlet-valve-on-a-washer-dr.html

The washer is stopping midway through the load and an error codeLE what seems to be the problem

This is usually a communication error, unplug the machine for 20 minutes and then see if it returns when power is restored.
but if this does not helps then the actual reason of LE error code is as follows:--

LE LOCKED MOTOR ERROR

• The connector (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS is not connected to the connector (3-pin, female, white) of STATOR ASSEMBLY.

• The electric contact between the connectors (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS and 4-pin, female, white connector in the MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is bad or unstable.

• The MOTOR HARNESS between the STATOR ASSEMBLY and MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is cut (open circuited).

• The hall sensor is out of order/defective.

The hall sensor seems to be part of the motor.
The 'LE' error message indicates the control board has detected that the motor is either not turning, or has locked up for some reason. Monitoring the motor is the job of the hall effect sensor board which constantly determines the direction and speed of the motor and feeds that information back to the control board. If there is a problem between what the motor should be doing and what the hall effect sensor says the motor is doing, the 'LE' will be displayed and the cycle will be stopped.

Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor, or even the hall effect sensor failing or dislodging from it's mount. Any one or more of these components could have caused this error.

1) in my experience, sometimes this proves to be intermitent, and upon unplugging and waiting for 5 minutes does not seem to resurface again...
2)Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor, or even the hall effect sensor failing or dislodging from it's mount.
this could prove to be very challenging to somebody who does not know what they are working with, i suggest if the problem is not intermitent, call a tech.. hope this helps.
