Won't charge when plugged in to USB

Often the problem is the USB cable or the plug.

Make sure the USB cable is plugged in firmly, all the way on both ends. If it still does not charge, try using a different USB port on the computer or laptop. If that fails to solve the problem then get a new USB cable.

If none of the above solves your problem then your device is defective.

Dell inspiron M5030 won't charge, green light is

This is a common problem. It may be that the charger is dammaged. these Dell chargers have a micro thin communication cable in them that tell the charger to charge the battery. this micro thin cable can often break. Its use it to prevent the laptop battery from over charging, but if it breaks or becomed broken inside tha charger cable, then the laptop simply won't get the charge signal and the battery won't charge. If this is the case, then you will need to replace the charger with another Dell charger compatible with your laptop

Battery keeps going dead

Well the first thing you need to do is have the battery tested. A battery that won't hold a charge is just as dead as one that has no charge. Take the battery out and take it to an automotive parts store. They can "load test" a battery and they usually do this service for free. If the battery is good, when you reconnect it, connect the positive cable first and when you connect the negative cable, watch for a spark. Now, you didn't tell me what year or model your bike is but if it's a late model with either an alarm system or an ECM module on it, you may see a small spark. Even though these devices do draw current constantly, it would take pretty close to a year to draw down a fully charged good battery. If that doesn't solve the problem, repost and I'll tell you how to test the charging system but I need to know the year and model bike you're working on.

Good Luck

What could be the problem if my iPod Classic won't charge?

Be sure to connect the charging/sync cable directly to the computer, not a USB hub. Most hubs are don't provide enough power to the usb ports to charge the ipod. If you need a method of charging the ipod while away from the computer connect your sync cable to a device like these: Even the USB port on Apple keyboards is not able to charge the Ipod.

If you're using the computer to charge the Ipod, be sure it stays on, when computers go into sleep or standby modes they stop charging your ipod. You may want to use one of the options below to charge your Ipod when the computer is off or in a different location than the Ipod.

1990 plymouth colt, new alternator, still won,t charge. what tells alternator to charge battery?

Have you also had the battery checked? If the battery is bad, then it won't charge. All of the terminals need to be checked for corrosion. All wires must be secured properly. Check to see if the ground cable is properly attached to the frame of the vehicle.

How do I charge the Garmin 265 WT with my desktop PC? I don't even know how to tell if the battery needs charging. This is my first GPS and I have no idea how to charge it, tell if it's on, etc etc

yes, you can use your pc via the usb cable provided with your unit, or the car charger.

to tell if its charging, go to the map screen then menu, the charge indicator is on the top right of screen...should be green while charging.
