you can do this by doing a soft reset *#7370# but your messages can not be saved every thing will be set to company settings as your new nokia n95
also we have had this problem on a few diferent models on the UK 02 network . It appears that some network update texts corrupt the sms settings in the device (mainly N95) we have found that flashing the SW fixes it everytime but do NOT restore messages or settings when you restore the backup file (if you make one). Also aside from the initial settings message you get from 02 when you first put the sim card back in , do not read anymore of their service messages until someone figures out which of these messages corrupts the phone settings !
Set you Message Storage Destination to Memory card and delete unwanted Smses or Bluetooth received files from the phone memory. To do this, Go to message settings and there's an option with "Default destination" or something like that, and set the Storage to Memory Card.
You'll also need to close the programs that are running on the background. To do this press and hold the "Menu" key, and to close the particular program, press "C".
Good luck
Thanks for using FixYa.
you may have to check your settings on the nokia- may not have text message 'up-loading'- 'sending' set up. your service may allow 'free' incoming- but not sending! check your phone settings- may need to go on-line to alter your settings! or find info to set your phone! good luck!
Make sure you're using your mobile service provider's settings and msg center number, and that your setting for reply is set to: reply via same center number to; NO
Hi,
I think that there is s problem with the phone's firmware. You should update/reflash your phone's firmware with NSU (Nokia Software Updater). Good luck!
