There are different types of home safes that are available in the market. Thus, here are some of the types of home safes that one can have a look at -
1. Cabinet Safe - This safe is designed to be bigger and is best for holding more than their regular home safe counterparts.
2. Regular Box Shape Safe - One of the most common type of home safes used by almost everyone. They are a bit smaller than the cabinet safes, but are known to be equally stronger.

Mother just past away, luckily safe was open at time, but dont know combo to keypad or we haven't found a key,how do i reset code to sentry10 gunsafe

To reset the combination on a Sentry safe, open the door of the safe, delete the existing codes, press the PROG or P key and enter the factory code. Finally, enter a new five-digit number as per individual preference, which is the new user combination.
It is always prudent to reset the combination on a Sentry safe when the door is open because it prevents the user from being locked out. To open the Sentry safe door, type the five-digit factory code given in the owner's manual. This factory code cannot be altered.
To delete the existing codes on newer models of the safe as of 2015, press the P button. Then, type the factory code and follow it up by inputting "00000" into the safe. On older models of the Sentry safe, press the PROG button and type the factory code two times.
After deleting the existing codes, press the PROG or P key and then enter the factory code once again. Within five seconds, type a new five-digit number, which is the new user code. To verify if the user code is working, retype it and then close the door of the safe. The user code is the primary code for opening the safe, and users can reset it as often as they want too

The batteries are low and can't open my safe

You do not mention the type/make of safe you have so cannot give a specific answer, genarally all digital safes have a small flip off panel behind which is a key slot, you should have recieved keys to do this bypass when you purchased the safe. if you have not got the keys or there arn't any you need a locksmith.

The battery is flat and the safe will not open??

All safes which have internal accessed batteries have a hidden key entry, generally found behind a blanking plate on the front of the safe. keys would have been supplied with the safe when purchased.
flat battery and no keys = Useless safe.
If you are in that position you have two choices:
If there is nothing in the safe buy a new one.
Valuables in the safe, take it to a locksmith.
If the safe is of the readily available small sized mass produced types the key lock is between the rotary door knob and the keypad behind a flip off blanking plate, this type of key lock is very cheap easy to replace and very very easy to pick so it won't cost much.

What are the benefits of safe deposit vaults?

1. You can store valuables and cash in a safety deposit box (SDB) outside your home or business in a secure location.
2. You not have to purchase and install and maintain an expensive and heavy safe at home.
3. Very few people will ever know you have a SDB.
4. The vault is much more likely to be far more secure than nearly all home safe and most business safe installations.

1. It costs money to rent a SDB in a secure vault and less convenient than a secure home or business premises safe.
2. Your property is only accessible when the vault is open for business which is likely to be less than 24 hours but that depends on the operator.
