Very large bird in woods near a bike trail in Kansas. Long neck, small head, large body, long tail feathers, long legs, perching awkwardly. A little orange coloring on neck or head and brownish black coloring. Wing span maybe 4 ft. Walked around on the vertical branches.

that piece is what holds the leg on.... i'd have to have the actual pieces in front of me to tell you how to fix it. be that as it may ... if you can use something to hook the piece out you may be able to put them back together and pop it back in. i suspect (if i remember right) that the head is put on differently and just pops in with a small ridge around the base. i was a nasty brother and took some of my sisters apart... if you can't get the piece out it may have to come out of the opening where the head is.

Let me say something and also post a few photos.
If you go into the customer menu and select convergence is it skewed and will not adjust. If so you have a convergence circuit problem--not real expensive or hard to do on this model
Look at the photos I will post and tell me if they look anything like your problem.
If they do I can give you directions to fix it yourself.
Most convergence problems shops will get 300 or more to fix but the actual parts cost is under 30.
Look at these photos and let me know if they look anything like your problem.
If this has helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.
I speak from first hand knowledge as I have repaired hundreds of sets with convergence problems.

The small black ink cartridge is the photo black cartridge. If you're not printing any photos that's why it is still full.
