my WII is brand new and the day i got it i was able to play the game a couple times and the last time i wanted to play i put the disk in and it said tha it had a error and i had to eject and turn the WII off and read the troubleshooting! i read every single one and i still can't find the problem! what do i do?
-   Yeah I have the same problem too. I just bought the wii today and after a couple hours of playing wii sports the error message popped up. It actually happened in the middle of a boxing match...so I ejected the game and that's about as far as I got. I tried turning off the console but it wouldn't work, and nothing in the manual helps with my situation. I've pushed the power button several times, tried the reset button, and putting the game back in and taking it back out but none of that worked. I'm skeptical to unplug it because I don't want to permanantly damage it if there's a quick fix I can do instead.-   KillaCam22

-   Same error about ejecting disk and then turning Wii off, but sometimes the Wii won't even turn off unless I unplug it. I went through a lot to even get this system so I don't want to return it. It seemed that when we put the Wii sports disk in this started occurring. I would love to get this situation figured out, as my kids are very upset that the system we've been waiting for is not working properly.-   Guest

-   im sorry to say the tip does not work :S
ive read through the operation manual and still can't find anything to help me.
I checked my disk and it wasn't scratched or dirty, so i took my disk out and done what it told me to do and pulled the plug out and waited 5 minutes and it still doesn't work!
anyone got any suggestions ????
-   ok, the error msg about taking the disc out & turning the console off came up, on the third time i played the wii, (i was playing mario galaxy) it wld not switch off from the console, so i switched it off from the mains.... it would not switch back on! eventually after a few hours it did, then i tried to reload mario, it said unable to read disc, so i tried the 3 other brand new games and came up with same error msg. obviously nothing wrong with discs, but an internal problem with the wii. no soloution for this, you have to replace or get it repaired.-   Guest

haven't played our game for a while, replaced all batteries, but cannot get past the starting up of the program, keeps telling us to insert disc to be able to go to training part. Can't play any game without the wii fit program showing up.
i played the wii for 2 days now after i put in my games it says troubleshooting please eject disk, turn off power, and refer to the wii manual.but i threw mine away.
i bought a new excite truck game disc. same error still occurs. i tried it with another new disc game with the billiards and table tennis in it. same error still occurs.
i had the same problem after a couple of days my kids played with the WII. it gave an error message and says to eject cd, turn off the power and read the manual. i don't know if i can get another wii console sports package if i returned it to the store because the store is always out of the game console after a couple of hours the moment they stack it in their shelves.

Exact same problem. Brand new console out of the box. Played a coupleo of games. Shut it down & powered it back on to play a game. Got the error message & now it no longer works!
