Question about Washing Machines
From what you describe here, it sounds like the water level valve has gone bad. This is a common problem.
The water valve is located under the faceplate on most washers and has a clear hose that runs down to the washer tank. First inspect it to be certain the hose is connected and has no damage therein.
If the hose is in good condition, turn the washer on and watch it, see if the water shuts off when the tank is full. If not, replace the water valve.
