Clutch removal on a580-531060 craft an chainsaw

Assuming you want to remove the clutch spider, which typically is left-hand threaded onto the crank. Not knowing if it's an internal (chain drive sprocket is "outboard") or external clutch, here goes for both. After removing bar & chain.
Internal: CAREFULLY (so it doesn't fly) remove clip from crank, remove washer, clutch drum, bearing and/or rim sprocket. Remove recoil starter. Using proper tool to fit clutch "spider" and impact wrench, turn it CLOCKWISE with wrench to unthread it.
External: Remove bar & chain and recoil starter. Using tool to fit the clutch "spider" and socket on impact wrench, spin the spider off CLOCKWISE. You can then remove remainder of clutch & bearing.
Be sure to grease the bearing while it's accessible.
Starter removal avoids applying any load if the crank turns.

Can anyone tell me the name of the nylon cog that drives the chain on the electric chainsaw

Though I've never worked on an electric saw, I would think it should be referred to either as a 'spur' sprocket or a 'rim' sprocket just like what they are called on a gas fired saw.

Replace sprocket on rancher 460

The factory do not offer a rim sprocket for the 455/460, they are classed as semi pro saws and as such get a spur sprocket, there may be an Oregon after market one available.

Husqvarna 51 chainsaw, how do i remove the clutch to relace the rim sprocket

You need to jarr it off ahainst the compression of the saw, there is a 15mm nut on the clutch to allow you to do this, if you have an impact gun this will take it off in seconds, it is just spun onto the crank with a left hand thread so jarr it clockwise.

Broke tooth on chain drive sprocket. whats the easiest way to get it apart to put on new one

Standard procedure for removal of the drive sprocket on the saws i work on are
release the chain brakeremove the sprocket cover... bar & chain clean all that sawdust and oil mud with brake cleaner and or bristle brushremove circlip with a flat head screwdriver and a prying motion* find circlipremove spur or rim sprocket Replace in opposite order.. being sure to align the chain speed driven oil pump with the notch in spur sprocket if equipped(some arborist saws require a piston stop to remove the clutch before you can remove the spur) BUY A STIH AND TALK TO YOUR DEALER.. THEY ARE FULL OF INFO AND VERY HELFUL

After new clutch sprocket &good bar &chain chain r bar moves prematuely and chain comes off bar nuts r tight

have you made sure that chain pitch and gauge are the same as the sprocket pitch pitches can be 3/8 lo pro 0.50 gauge

.325 x 0.50 gauge , .325 x 0.58 gauge

3/8 std x 0.50 or 3/8 x 0.58 gauge or 3/8 x 0.63 gauge

you could even have the correct drum but wrong rim sprocket on it

worst case is you could have mismatch bar and chain

make sure that bar adjjuster assy is working correctly

recheck chain / sprocket pitches and bar pitch and groove
gauge

be sure that you fitted chain to rim on sprocket correctly when you fitted bar and chain?

is the clutch cover pulling down tight ?

have a look and let me know if and what you find

cheers paul
