Open the dryer door and locate the screws underneath the front lip of the dryer top. Unfasten the screws with a screwdriver and set them out of the way.
Flip the dryer top back so it is setting on the rear hinges. Locate the screws on the inside of the front panel near the top of the dryer.
Unfasten the screws on the inside of the front panel with a screwdriver and set them in a safe place. Lift the front panel up so it comes off the metal clips at the base of the dryer in the front.
Unplug the two-pronged electrical wiring connector from the back of the front panel by hand. Set the front panel of the Amana dryer cabinet out of the way.
