I have a Kenmore Coldspot (mfg date 10/00), model 106.70192001. The ice maker is NOT hooked up (by choice) and for the last several weeks, there has been water draining from freezer into fridge in a cyclic...

Your drain line is frozen and is not allowing the defrost water to drain to the pan below. You will need to remove the rear panel in the freezer and thaw the drain line. Make sure ALL ice is thawed before reassembling. I would recommend installing a drain heater so it will not happen again. They are inexpensive and easy to install. They come with complete instructions.

I have a Kenmore 8575287 The clean button is blinking and when I push start it just blinks and does not start.

Hi
If clean light is blinking 7 times then it may be an issue with heater circuit, door switch or wash pump. If yes then please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry. Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and allow it to completely drain and reset.
If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine. Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

Water dripping from top freezer into refrigerator

If you have a freezer on the top, you may need to add a solid piece of copper wire to the defrost drain water tube. Get a 14 guage piece of copper wire about 5 to 6 inches long. remove all plastic coating from it. Wrap one or two tight turns around the defrost heater. put the other end down the defrost drain. This is not recommended for glass tube type heaters. just metal heaters. Do not place copper wire were it can touch plastic.

There's water spewing out of the top of my Kenmore

yes you do have a blocked drain, you need to remove the inside back wall and melt out the ice with a hair dryer, shut the control off so the fan isn't running and don't forget to turn it back on when you're done, now you have to clean out the drain,i use a steamer, they cost around 50 bucks, blow out the drain line with the steamer and if the air ducts are iced up below the fan melt that out also, try not to keep the heat in one spot for a long time, you can damage the styrofoamwith overheating, you might have to heat up underneath the air ducts from inside the refrigerator, when you think the drain is clear pour hot water down the drain if it goes down you know it's clear, there's a heater kit you can buy to put into the drain,it's called a heater probe, you rap one end onto the heater and the other end goes down the drain hole, when the heater comes on the metal heats up stoping the ice from forming at the mouth of the drain,if you have a piece of electrical house wire you can use a piece of the ground wire around 5 inches long, stick it in the drain till it stops, leave enough to bend around the heater and cut off the rest and you should be good to go

How to drain the rheem 135 litre tank

1. turn off the electrical power first.
2. attach a garden hose to the hose bib attachement on the bottom of the water tank and run the hose outside to allow the water to drain out by gravity.
3. Turn the valve that is on the inlet of the water heater. Now that the power is off, you can drain the tank.
4. open the drain valve where the hose has been attached.
5. To release the pressure, you can open a hot water faucet in your kitchen. This will allow the water to drain out easier.

Water freezing in the bottom of the freezer

Side by side fridge? Use a turkey baster and HOT water to make sure drain is clear. Jetting hot water may unclog drain. Drain has a loop in it under fridge. check to see if water flows through drain. You may need to install a drain heater which connects to defrost heater circuit. If so, suggest that you have a tech correctly diagnose problem. Algea can build up in rubber drain under fridge, so a LITTLE bleach poured into drain will help kill it. Use a tablespoon of bleach.

Gas water heater burner wont stay lit

This is a major problem with Kenmore power miser 6, 9, and 12's - we purchased a Power Miser 6 in Nov. 2006 and have had 5 service calls in two years - we are on our 6th call now - Go to http://baheyeldin.com/technology-in-society/mistaken-identity-help-with-kenmore-water-heater.html or Complaintsboard.com and you will see multiple complaints on these models. We had Sears out days after we purchased the water heater, and had parts replaced, then more problems in April 2007 - It worked ok until Nov, 2008 and now it has gone out 3 times. We were told it is lint collecting on the screen that sits under the burner (difficult to get to) - we made a vacume attachment out of PCV pipe (like the one the repairman had) and vacumed the screen when the pilot light wouldn't stay lit - that is what they told us was the problem - but this time, the vacuming isn't working - Ash also builds up on the pilot light burner which has to be removed - you can't replace the thermal coupler without replacing the entire burner unit in this model - In short, if you can get your money back and buy a more reliable model, do it! Sears sold us a maintenance agreement after they had come out 3 times ($290), and still we go for 2-5 days without hot water waiting for them to come out and not fix our water heater. They also told us we should build a platform elevated off the floor to increase oxygen and decrease dust - funny our last model was still working at over 10 years and never had an issue in the same location! Sears installed the water heater, and should have installed it on a platform if that was what was needed. Also, there was no warning about having to vacume the screen (UNDER the heater - very difficult) - when we purchased this model or we wouldn't have bought it - Kenmore water heater repair line now tells you to try scrubbing the screen - but who wants to do this every month??? I can't tell you how inconvenient this has been - Looks like there was a class action suit against LOWE's which included the AO Smith water heaters (which is who built the power miser heaters) - no class action suit yet against Kenmore - This has been a nightmare and at the websites I listed, you will see many more such complaints, and some creative solutions...but I doubt any will work for long. Good luck.

Kenmore Model 78185891 type C21TFA95, water leakage problem

you have a clogged defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you acess to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somwhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials works awesome, after you clear it and all water drain down tube wrap a piece of solid copper wirearound the heater( black calrod heater right above the drain trough) and stick it in the whole maybe an inch or so. now everythime the heater comes on to defrost it will prevent the hole from freezing over
