I have nokia e63, sometimes even the signals are there but I can't receive calls/sms, also I can't send sms or make any call, what should I do ? plz help

There are two possible causes of such a problem for you. One of them is that your line has been blocked by the service provider possibly due to violation of terms stipulated by them. On the other hand, it could be as a result of barred calls.
To analyze them carefully for you,
It is important for you to note that there is a function that comes with most phones that enables you to disable calls from being made and from being received. Also, what most people do not know is that while they are disabling the calls from being received or made, they also disable any communication from being made or received through that network. This includes barring incoming and outgoing messages. If this feature has been accidentally activated, it could lead to your inability to make or receive calls and messages.
Also, if your network provider has blocked or deactivated your line for some reasons, you might not get a notification and you won't be able to make or receive calls and messages too. The best way to figure this out is for you to try to recharge your line and see if it works, if it does then it is not from your line or better still just call the customer care and explain your ordeal to them.
Lastly and most unlikely, if it is a new sim card, you have to activate it depending on your network, there are different methods by which this can be done.
Hope this was helpful?

Hi, I have 3110, suddenly I got my sms inbox empty (all deleted) after that I am not receiving any sms, I changed my SIm to another phone and it's working fine, so it seems phone problem. pl assist.

Hello, the problem you facing is that you mistakenly deleted you mobile phone message center number, check if the message center number is there,if it's visible then i will suspect it's an application error, would advice you to reset the phone to it's factory default, you will be asked to enter a security code on the screen when trying to do the reset through the phones setting.the security code is 12345 for all nokia's.
hope that helps,

take care.

Cant receive sms from other sevice providers i.e MTN & Cell C can only receive from Vodacom who is my current service provider. Please send me SMS settings for NOKIA 5230

There are no settings for receiving SMS from any networks but if you want to send SMS , then the MESSAGE CENTRE NUMBER must be entered into the menu in the message settings.
This number should be given to you by the service provider you are using. SO call up your provider-Vodacom- to confirm the message centre number.

Unopened sms in my inbox

It seems your message box is full. delete all the messages from sent box first to clear some memory. Then try to see if you can get the unread messages.
