AUDIOVOX CAR APS787N ADVANCED REMOTE START DOES NOT FUNCTION EVEN AFTER EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED PROPERLY.
If everthing is properly connected and the system does function,you may need to program the remotes. But first,let's check a couple of things. Turn the ignition on and press and release the push button LED three times and check for a response.The alarm should chirp one time. If the alarm chirps one time, press and release the lock button on the remote. If the alarm responds with a long chirp, press and release the push button LED one time,should hear two chirps; press and release the unlock button on the remote. The alarm should respond with a long chirp. Press and release the push button LED one time, you should hear three chirps, press and release the green button. You should hear a long chirp from the alarm. Press and release the push button LED one time, you should hear four chirps from the alarm; press and release the (1)button on the remote. continue the process for button(2).Now, if you do not hear the one chirp in the beginning, the system is not responding. Check your power and ground connections. If the system does chirp but, no response from the remote, check your antenna cable for proper connection at the module and the antenna. If the connections are fine, check the remote. Also,it is possible that there is major RF interference where you are located. If all of the above check out, try moving the vehicle to a different location and test.
