We have a 2003 60inch? hdtv tv dptv335 the sound works but our picture went out 2 days ago while we were watching. no load noice or bright light..just went black. what do we do? kris


The tv had not been change the projection lamp the last 1 1/2 or 2 years and on used like 4 or 5 hours day.The tv pojection lamp life is over.Replaced a new tv projection lamp.

This problems,cause by the 2 STK dead convergence too.U must have soldering tools,solders and must Know how to solders?Must replaced 2 STK convergence ICS,and some or all it resistors.Tries websites like Tv repair world.com,Tvrepairkits.com to buy a convergence kit to repair it ur self.The shop cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.

It could possibly be the power supply unit or the lamp.The power unit is HA01331. cost is about $120.The lamp is UX21514 cost about the same. Hope this is helpful.

Sony kdf-e60a20 60inch


Yes, it's your thermal switch, had this problem and changed the bulb, no help. Got it checked by tv repair and they changed the switch.
