SOURCE: Teka Dishwasher DW6 59 FI

hi Because the timer controls many operations, a faulty timer can cause many problems. The timer is a complex component, so you shouldn't attempt a do-it-yourself repair. Test the timer with a VOM set to the RX1 scale. To gain access to the timer, remove the front control panel. The timer is directly behind the main timer control knob. Disconnect one of the timer's terminal wires and clip one probe of the VOM to each terminal. If the meter reads zero, the timer is working. If the meter reads higher than zero, the timer is faulty and should be replaced.

If possible, use the same procedure to test the selector and cycle switches. The wiring hookup, however, may be too complicated to figure out on either of these switches. If you aren't sure you can deal with these switches, call a professional service person. Replace a faulty timer -- or a faulty control switch -- with a new one made for the dishwasher.

The timer is connected to several wires that supply power to operate the various functions of the dishwasher. To replace the timer, have a helper hold the new timer next to the old one. Connect the wires of the new timer one by one, removing the old wire and connecting the new, to make sure you connect the wires correctly. The wires may be friction-fit on the terminals. If they are, use long-nosed pliers to remove the wires. Don't pull up on the wires, or you may break the connection between the wires and the clips.

After connecting the wires, set the new timer in position, secure it the way the old one was secured, and replace the control panel and knobs.

SOURCE: Teka DW6 59 F1 Lights 4&5

I am slightly unclear if lights 4 & 5 are counted left to right or right to left when facing the dishwasher.

If you are counting right to left - then lights 4 & 5 flashing implies E3 fault - heater failing to heat.
am suspecting the heater unit is failing. Try to run dishwasher on a colder program like DELICATE and see if goes through.

If the flashing does not go away by turning power off and back on then the heater or the thermostat has failed and will need replacement.

Hope this helps fix the problem. Please post a comment if this is not helpful.

How do I fix a Teka DW6-59 dishwasher thermostat problem

If it heats and fills, would not think thermostat, tstat checks that the temp is ok, then prog moves on, If tstat, would never move on. think more after that, maybe, does the pump work, could be broken wire power to pump, can you hear the pump working, if continuois cycle, at what point does it stop and start at beginning, does it pump water out? if not water level sensor.

F1 code on Fisher and Paykel dishdrawer

Hi,

It would seem to be in an endless loop (firmware glitch). Initially, pls try:
  • unplug from the mains or switch off the breakers for a couple of minutes;
  • plug back in/switch on the breakers say after 20 minutes;
  • press POWER to turn drawer on;
  • Press and hold (at the same time) both the POWER and ECO buttons for a few seconds;
  • a five minute demonstration wash cycle will come on;
  • press POWER again to put unit on standby, all the LCD segments will start flashing (and light up);
  • press and hold START/PAUSE for a few seconds to hear confirmation beep/tune.
Alternately, should you have the two-drawer, open any drawer and look at the wash intensity/economy buttons. Now press them, one at a time, alternating between the two, at even timing.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Dishwasher problem

My dishwasher Indesit DI67S will not run on the number 1 cycle. It will fill and then when that programme finishes it jumps straight to the drying cycle missing all the rinses out etc. If on the number 2 programme it goes all the way through but then doesn't dry. I've also noticed that the water doesn't seem to be heating up much and certainly isn't drying. Is this the element or something else? Once its reached the drying cycle the light for this just flashes then I have a job to try and reset the machine. It can take endless attempts. Will switching the machine off at the mains solve anything or is it the element?
Thankyou

Prgramme not starting or finishing

The "mushroom" bottom is just a lever that operate a switch. It seems that a part of the switch's mechanism is broken or release.
