With the machine shut down and unplugged from AC, you could disconnect the BIOS battery for a few minutes (I suggest 5-10 minutes), then reconnect the battery, then power up again. Of course, you will have to go through all the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) again, because everything in CMOS RAM memory will be lost. Date, time, boot sequence, WiFi options, etc. will all have to be reconfigured again before the machine will boot again.

You don't need the password then. Insert disc and erase away. Make sure save Administrator so you don' have to format again.
