Question about Facebook Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I need to change my email Facebook. No password for it. Someone else set Facebook account up.

The person who set the my Facebook account up wasn't living with me for personal reasons but is now back home. However, they have been controlling my Facebook account page and email address. Apple helpline has now sorted that. I have shut down last night a second account Facebook that was going to that person which came visible after Apple helplines helped me. My mobile phone they took back because they brought it. My only means of contact is my new email and landline. Please don't tell me to buy a new mobile phone, for personal reasons I am better off with out it. My friends are on Facebook account that is the reason I will not close this one down please help me change my email address.

Why I can't open my Facebook page I was on it earlier and now I can't get back on my Facebook profile page etc.

Hmm... someone might have hacked your account. Try checking your inbox from the email provider your Facebook account is associated with. For example, if your email address has a domain name of yahoo.com, then log in to Yahoo, check your inbox. Facebook sends you an email right away if your Facebook account was hacked. The email they send informs you that your email address was replaced with a new one. Then it asks you if that is your own doing, you can just ignore it. But since you suspect someone is using your account, then that person might have replaced your email address with his. If that is the case, then there's an option in that email Facebook sent you to 'let them know' or 'secure your account'. Click on it. If you're successful, you should be able to get hold of your account back. And Facebook system will even prompt you to change your password.

Moral of the story? You should not give any of your email addresses to anyone. Not even to family members, relatives or friends. If the computer you're using is also used by other people and there are no separate user accounts for each [meaning everyone can log into that computer as administrator then one safety tip is to NOT save your password in Mozilla Firefox. If you do and another person who is Internet savvy clicked on the browser's Tools menu [Tools>Options>Security>Saved Passwords] when you're away, then that person can hack your account/s. If you're the owner of the computer and you're sharing it with other people, better create a guest account or user accounts for each person who uses your computer, but make sure you're the administrator of your own computer and that each of you has his/her own password when logging on to the computer.

They automatically changed my facebook password n. sent a new 1 2 my email which i no longer use how can i get my password back

Only one person is supposed to know your password. If you forgot it, when logging in, on that page is a button, forgot password or something like that. Press the button and you will get an email, on the address you gave the site while setting up your account. Follow the instructions in the mail and everything will be ok in just a few minutes.
If someone hacked your account and did change the settings, you don't get an e-mail, you won't be able to claim the account. You have to setup a new account.

How can i make a new email address for my facebook account to reset my password

Your @facebook.com email is an optional email address for your Facebook account, and is based on your username. Email messages that are sent to your @facebook.com email address will be forwarded to the primary email on your Facebook account. Learn how to update your primary email.
Keep in mind that if you send a reply to these forwarded messages, it will come from your primary email address, even though the original message was sent to your Facebook email.
To enable or disable your Facebook email address:
  1. Click 851557_364200877036449_574807949_n.gif at the top right of any Facebook page and choose Settings
  2. Click the Email section
  3. Check or uncheck the box next to Use your Facebook email

Someone had changed my facebook password an unknown person had changed my facebook password thats why im not able to operate it

Facebook is a great social networking site and it easy to use. But, some people will be surprised to see that there are a lot of choices and options found within the personal settings of a facebook.com account. Changing your email address for a facebook.com account should be an easy thing to do, but with all of the options out there, it's not always at easy as it seems! I will show you in a few short easy steps how to change your facebook.com email address that is on file.

Instructions.
1.The first think you need to do is log into your facebook account.

2.Once logged into facebook.com, click on the "Settings" option that is at the top toolbar in blue.

3.On the Settings page, the third option on the list will be "Email." Click on the "change" link on the right hand side of the screen.

4.Once you click on "change," you will see a new field appear called "New Email." Simply enter your new email address in the "New Email" field and click "Add New Email."

5.Once you complete that step, you will need to re-enter your facebook.com password for security purposes.

Hi there, this may happen if somebody knows your email address and trying to use it to log in to your account. Even if the person wasn't able to go through your account, Facebook will still send you a message to reset your password for your own security. The next time you access your FB account, I would suggest you to change your email address.

My Facebook e mail has been stolen how can I get it back

Change the email address you use with Facebook to another email. This can be done under the account settings page. This will prevent your Facebook account from being taken over, if it hasn't been already. To get your email back, go to the email providers website and find where you can change your password to the account. Changing the password will block the person who took over your email from accessing further.

I want to delete the information I have put onto Facebook but cannot log in, Each time it tells me I have wrong password and i am unable to change it Each time I try to change password it doesn't work

No real way i know of to get around this except to contact Facebook customer support.
I'll presume you've used the "Can't remember my password" option when you attempt to log in? This will send an email to the address you specified when you initially set up your account with a password reset link.

If this isn't working, ie. You're not receiving the email from Facebook - I would highly recommend sending Facebook Technical Support an immediate email as it's possible (though not guaranteed) that someone may have accessed your account, changed your password & your email address (someone would usually need access to your email account to do this).

Soneone used my yahoo email to open an a facebook acount

It sounds like someone hacked into the facebook password server and stole passwords. If you think your yahoo email has been compromised I recommend you change your yahoo address and password as well. Try not to give out your personal email account online, but save it for your friends and family, and use an alternate email account for online registrations, etc that you can change if you have problems like this.
Identity theft is a major problem these days, with many people losing information because their computer has been compromised in some way.
It would be worth your while to set a password on the user account on your computer, to make sure no one can log onto your computer as you and use your saved passwords.
Also, go to www.malwarebytes.org and download their free antimalware program and run a full scan of your computer to make sure your system has not been compromised. Fix any problems it finds.

I hope this helps you to resolve this problem. If I've managed to answer your question, please take a moment to kindly rate this post....thanks!
