Replacing the power supply would be the solution. The power supply would fail in about 90% of the time but it could also be a main board.
There are a number of capacitors in the 5 and 24 volts lines that became defective and will need to be replace to restore the functionality of the TV.
This type of repairs might not be a DIY without a multimeter, soldering iron and hand soldering.
