Please see this article. (not very intuitive, I'm afraid.) See complete cartridge change instructions here.
If that doesn't clear the message, a partial or full reset may be required. Instructions to do those here and here.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

HP printer PSC 1210 black cartridge error. The black cartridge does not work and the blinking light is always on when I plug in the cartridge.

Black cartridge error usually means that the contacts on the cartridge have blown or that they might be dirty. That's why the printer says it has a problem. Remove the cartridge, wipe the contacts with a dry cloth and put it back in. If it still gives you the same message, you will need to buy a new cartridge.

Hp psc 2110

hello, let me start by asking a question giving a few tips. Hopefully things will work out.

First, you said, "you have replaced the cartridge. "
Did you just replace it?

Remove the cartridge and make sure you take off the little sticker tab the covers the print head. I have had many customers over the years that have made this simple mistake.

If this is done. I want you to place the ink cartridge back in properly.
Next power off and unplug your printer.

Wait about 1 minute and plug back in a power back on.
at this point and time it should ask you to do a new new cartridge printer alignment calibration page.

If it does not prompt you to do so please refer to your manual on how to manually do one.

If you do not have your manual let me know. I can do further research and help you with that too.

More that likely this simple procedure will reset your printer and help it recognize there is a new cartridge placed in the machine.

hope my advice helps .. if you appreciate my help lease remember to leave a good rating and a testimonial.

If problem is unsolved please write back for more problem solving.

Message on printer "remove and check cartridge",checked and still message appears

Try another cartridge. If you get the same message, it's the printer. Try cleaning the contacts where the cartridge plugs in. If the message goes away, you have a bad cartridge.

Hp PSC 950 gives me a message to remove and check black cartridge

Did you remove the tape from the contacts of the new black cartridge? If so once the new one is in, unplug the printer from power and power it back on, it should do a full check after a power on off.

You do need both cartridges installed in order to use the printer. Even if one is near empty it will print (although your quality may suffer).

Hp psc 2110 incorrect ink cartridge message.

Hi plabonne,

I hopped out to HP's support site for stats on your cartridge and found some info at this link:
http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/supplies_model.do?product_code=C8648A&jumpid=oc_R1002_USENC-002_HP%20PSC%202110%20All-in-One%20Printer&lang=en&cc=us

are you using an HP 57 Tri-color cartridge? HP printers work best with HP cartridges and often have problems with refilled cartridges. the grinding noise you're hearing makes me wonder if the cartridge isn't seated all the way in its little carridge (the plastic part that holds the cartridge). have you had a chance to slip teh cartridge back out and try gently slipping it back in again?

here's another link to try for info for this model of printer (HP's support site), with specifics about your error message about half way down the page:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&cc=us&docname=bpu05206&dlc=en&product=79488

hope this helps!

Right cartridge incorrect

If it says to check the right cartridge (Black), replace it with a brand new one or one you know is good.

Walgreens will test and refill your cartridge for ~$10.00 (black).

I have heard of new OEM HP cartridges being bad.

The printer checks the cartridge level sensor and the electrical stuff.

Hp psc 2110 incorrect ink cartridge message.

when ever i get that message it's when i use a "Non-HP" replacement cartridge...try using a HP catridge, or most likely, the printer has reached the end of it's usefull life!

you can try a "full reset" of the printer by..
-unplug it and let sit for a little while,
-BEFORE plugging it back in, press and hold both the enter and cancel buttons,
-plug the power cord in, and wait to release the buttons until the display on the printer tells you to,
-in many cases, this corrects some problems (especially that awfull grinding/ratcheting noise).
after many years of faithful service, i think mine is officially dead though...even the full resxet doesnt help.
