How do I obtain access to the drain tube on my Frigidaire Freezer model FFU20F9G?

Good Morning Shirley, thanks for your post!

From the information you have provided you need to access the drain tube on your Frigidaire freezer. The drain tube is located in the rear wall of your freezer. In order to do so you would need to disassemble your freezer and this is not a simple DIY job. I would recommend that you consult with a professional technician for proper disassembly and reassembly. This will help you avoid any future issues. -Matt

Refrigerator and Freezer lights do not work and all display lights are not working either, but fridge and freezer are working.

Hi i'm sean I work for GE as an employee, this is a bad control board located in the rear of the refrigerator behind an access panel, you will want to change this as soon as possible it will possibly cause damaged to your sealed system on this model if prolonged in that condition. The board usually runs between 175.-200.

My 2yr old electrolux freezer just died. The food were defrosted and I think the compressor stopped working, I shut off and restarted the freezer but nothing happens. The light is on just the motor not...

Thermostat is most common, the next is the starter on the compressor, or the (if it has one) defrost timer has failed, I can guide you to see if the timer has failed, first of all, pull the unit away from the wall and gain access to where the compressor is located, you may have to lay on the floor to get a good view, look for a small box located on the cabinet in the compressor recess, if you see this box, you will notice a small circular dial within this box, get a suitable object and turn this dial clockwise, if this is the problem, your freezer will magically burst into life and you will need to replace this timer or the internal thermo switch, if it does nothing or you cant locate the box, suggest you start with the thermostat and work down, if you have no luck, give me a call on 08 9523 0552. Freezer is not working; light (power is on and I think the fridge side is working

You probably have a bad fan motor in the freezer. When you hear the compressor running, open the freezer and listen for the fan. It is located in the back of the freezer. To access the fan, remove everything from the freezer. Locate the screws holding the back panel in place and remove them. With a voltmeter, check for voltage on the terminals of the fan while the compressor is running. If you have voltage and the fan is not running, replace the fan. You can buy replacement fans on-line, at your local appliance parts store, even ebay. Get the model number of your refrigerator, and you can easily locate the part you need.

Light doesn't come on on front panel

It sounds as if the bulb has burned out and you need to replace it. It might also be that, if the indicator light is located at the bottom of the cabinet, that it might have become unplugged from the wiring and it simply needs to be reconnected. In any case, be sure to unplug the freezer before you go removing anything, such as the access panel or the bulb mount, etc.

It is a very easy repair in most cases and you will need to determine the brand and model number for your freezer, since you didn't provide it here. Once you have that information, you can go to and enter that info into the site and locate the replacement bulb for your freezer.

You'l be able to see a line drawing and a parts listing for all the various pieces for your freezer and can order it online directly from them, too, if you wish. You can also use the part number to get on from a local service provider if you prefer.

Remember, with more information (brand and a complete model #) we could provide you with the precise part numbers and a direct link to the web pages that show your specific freezer.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Freezer works great fridge only cold intermittently

Check for proper operation of the fan located in the freezer compartment. The fan is located behind an access plate. You should be able to hear the fan if it's running. You can access it by removing the plate. The fan should be turning. If it's not turning, you will need to replace the fan motor.

The whistling is caused by the air circulating fan located just behind the light. It is easily accessed by removing the light cover and the two small hex screws above the light. To stop the whistling I simply turned the freezer off and pulled the fan cover out slightly to reveal the fan blades. I then pushed the blades down, toward the bottom of the until the blades stopped and i could feel the shaft slightly protruding from the top of the blades. Repositioning the blade has stopped the incessant whistling. Hope this helps!

Layer of ice in freezer. How do I access drainage tube to clear i

It is in the freezer compartment but you can try accessing  it from the bottom where it goes into the drip pan. Try using a can of compressed air with a straw held tightly with your fingers and blow out the line backwards.
Not a lot of infor ar pictures in you manual . It does say to make sure it is level and shows hot to do so. See below:
