Question about Pioneer Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I have a pioneer vsx-521 and whenever I watch a video with 5.1 surround using the advanced surround options it creates an unnatural reverberation on all dialogue, like they're speaking in a cathedral.

Vsx-521-k wont turn on

try holding the advanced surround and power buttons for about five seconds. If it turns on, then turns off again, you probably have an amplifier problem that needs repair

Pioneer VSX-72TXV wont power up. mcacc light just blinks.. unit does not have a video 2 button on the face.

try holding the "TUNE -" button and the ZONE 2 on/off button and see if it turns on. If its turns on, but turns back off again, you either have a problem with your speakers (try disconnecting them) or there is a problem with the receiver that needs to be repaired.

My pioneer pl-200 doesn't play loud enough through my pioneer vsx-521-k receiver

The PL-200 has no pre amp and your VSX-521 has no phono input. You need an RIAA preamp.

Pioneer receiver vsx-d510 sub not working

Rear Surrounds are not supported on this unit, they would be the 6th and 7th channels in a 7.1 rig. I think you mean Surrounds (channels 4 and 5 in a 5.1 rig).

Lets ponder: How is there any relationship between Surrounds and your separately-amplified Subwoofer? I don't see it, unless you inadvertently chose OFF for the Sub definition when you were in the Speaker selection menus adding the Surrounds. Look again.

I have pioneer receiver Vsx-454 i want to know if this receiver is 5.1 surrounds

Yes. It is 5.1 surround. There are 2 front channels, 1 center channel, and 2 rear channels which comprise the "5" in 5.1 surround. The pre-amp output channel for a sub is the ".5".
