does the vehicle crank? if it does please remove the old air filter and leave the air filter intake box open, unplg the maf sensor, try and let me know.
Thing to check. cable broken or joint came apart, no power coming to lights, check both end of fuses with a trouble light, may look ok but be open circuit , check battery voltage at tail light and stop light switch , if none fault in cable to b+, if ok fault in cable to rear lights, check earth to rear lights.
Go junkyard shopping.Try to find a truck with the same or more options than yours.(Grab some extra fuses out of the same truck-most yards have a 5 dollar minimum).
There are 2 fuse boxes. One is inside the vehicle, driver's side, right in front of your left knee if sitting in the seat. Remove small cover to access. The second is under the hood behind the battery. 3 metal clips hold the lid down.
My 95 land cruiser A/C is good sometimes for 2-3 hrs cold only and then compressor stop on my way from San Jose to Las Vegas trip. Again back to normal cold on the next day and back again with same routine problem. I check the compressor at 35psi normal and no leak.
1. Is that the compressor relay problem?
2. Where is the location or box of the relay switch compressor ?
3. What is the standard thermostat temp. for my truck?
4. What is the difference using lower temp and std. temp. thermostat?
My temp. goes up even w/o A/C and then goes back to normal again.
My solutions:
1. I installed new water pump , coolant, belts and radiator caps.
Do you have any suggestion or remedy to my problem.
Thank you and more power to the Auto Doctor.
I have a 95 GMC that quit and there is a square rectanguler box, like the old buzzer box under the dash on the drivers side. The guys at the local Napa here knew what the problem part was.Don't know what it is called or if your 88 has the same setup as my 95.Well good luck and hope this helps.
It's the left front wheel bearing. Take it to your favorite mechanic if you have one, any good tech can do it, but he/she could run into complications with a car of that age. (The hip bone's connected to the thigh bone, the thigh bone's connected to the knee bone, etc, and there's probably a good share of corrosion down there).
yes, you must remove the top panel on the fuse block the 80 amp fuse is bolted to the the fuse panel, hope this helps if not get back to me as i strive to be the best please rate my fix Thanks Ray
I don't remember the exact year they stopped putting serviceable fuel filters on a Camry but...try this. Open the hood. On the right you'll see the air box, where your air filter goes. look down between that and the master cylinder and see if there is a metal can shaped part there with 2 metal lines in it. If so, thats the fuel filter. If it is not there then your cars filter is part of the fuel pump thats located in the fuel tank and should never need servicing unless you got contaminated fuel.
