It may be helpful to grasp the thread tails and gently pull on them when beginning to stitch, particularly when there is no fabric or just beginning to stitch. Usually, after that, the fabric will move the stitches off the finger.

Hello

The serger chain will wrap or stack around the stitch fingers when stitching without fabric, this is normal. Place two layers of medium weight woven cotton under the presser foot and begin serging, the chain will wrap around the fabric cut edge to form stitches and 'push off' the originally stacked stitches.

I have an overlock 1034D , the problem is the needles hit some part making a sharp noise. This problem happens after I tried to remove the plate to clean. Shall I ask for a professionnal or with your help,...

If it stops making the noise when the needle plate is off, you should check to see if the plate is on correctly. It may not be seated correctly around the lower knife.
You should put in 2 "brand new" needles as well; a bent needle may be hitting the lower looper or the needle guard.

Hi i just got a new brother 1034D serger. And I'm

I found that I had to remove the stitch finger to thread the machine properly. Do remember to re-install it before starting to sew. If you are using 3-threads only, then remove and store the stitch finger.
Puzzled that this instruction is not in the threading section of the manual.
