Is there an On/Off switch that has been turned off? Verify that the cord(s) are fully plugged in. You can also try a different electrical outlet. If it still will not work, you should return it to the vendor who sold it.

Thank you R.A. Ellis, have tried all of these suggestions and still no go. Have called the vendor and they will be looking at the machine tomorrow.

That's great! They will most likely take care of the issue.

Pfaff 1371 pressure foot won't come down on it's own

I just addressed this issue with my 6110. There is a spring in the shaft for the pressure foot. Over time the white grease that lubricates the spring and the plastic piston at the top dried up, gumming up the works. I took it all apart, cleaned out the bad (now hard grease), re-greased and put it all back together. Works like new. I used a lithium grease as it is easy on plastic parts.

I have a Pfaff 1471. Last week it semed to be fine. The next day when I turned on the power switch the control panel did not come on. After turning it off and on a few times the control panel came on but...

You need a new baseplate, dont let anyone tell you different.
The control board is just a few buttons and a screen.
Yes you will need to take your machine to a pfaff shop and they will need to remove your base plate and mail it to pfaff for repair.
That is a great machine and will work better that the new machines on the market.
This repair should be around $300-$400.
Hope this helps

Pfaff 360 automatic slows and stops after only minutes of use

Pfaff 360's don't like to sit, they like to drink. . .. oil.
Set top knob "C" to 0
Right top (zig-zag knob) set to 4, lever below but on the same dial points straight down. Set stitch length to 4. Run 5 minutes medium speed.

After that lift off the top cover and spray inside with "Tri-flow", then run a hairdryer on it for 20 minutes to warm up or set near a warm lamp overnight. Run daily 5-10 minutes and exercise the right knob between 0 and 4 (zig-zag). It should come back to working with oil, time, and heat.

Pfaff Tiptronic 6270 just stopped working!

There is a fuse in the the base plate that has blown. It is soldered in and is special fuse you won't find at Radio Shack. Unfortunatly it needs to be fixed by a Pfaff dealer on someone with access to the fuse. If you have the work done, make sure they replace a certain reisitor on the base plate at the same time to prevent this from happening again (per Paff).
Sorry for the bad news and best of luck.

Pfaff Creative Vision embroidery/sewing machine says motor overload then shuts down

I had the same problem and it was my power supply. I've had more than my share of problems with this machine and it's only 3.5 years old. Good luck.

My dealer advised me to change the light bulb, which I've done, and since then its been fine.

Hope this works for your too.

All the best.
