SOURCE: 2 1/2 years new Samsung HC-P4752W from Costco, Canada

Samsung makes a great product and has one of the best pictures out there. I have had mine for a couple of years and only experience a slight convergience issue on left and right sides of the screen after twenty minutes of run time. I am currently trying to figure out how to fix it.

SOURCE: nikon d 40 will not focus, but pictures are clear

Your camera probably has a diopter setting around the eyepiece that can be set for your vision. Refer to your manual about how to set it.

My email is not syncing on my phone

If data / WiFi connection is good, available space on your device may be getting low. Clear caches in app settings or delete videos or pics or unused apps until storage space is big enough to download sync data. You might also check your email on a separate computer to see if something too big is trying to sync but can't get thru because of size.

I have a set of Steiner Military Marine 7X50 binoculars and now they don't seem to be focusing "together" If you look through one eye cup it looks fine, same as the opposite side. But when you...

I think you mean the two sides are not quite pointing in the same direction. This is called collimation, as in "the collimation is out". Alignment would be the everyday word. In binoculars, collimation faults are usually the result of a knock causing one of the prisms to shift slightly. It can be simple to put right, for a skilled person who knows what he is doing, if adjustments are available. Or the binoculars may need disassembly and an optical bench. I imagine that you would be able to replace these more cheaply than fix them, unless they are very high quality or collectable. I have made a mess of a few pair, and had a few successes, always with binocs that were uneconomic to have repaired professionally.

No apparent exterior damage but now my nikon's have "double vision" clear on each individual tube but doubled vision when veiwing normal. any suggestions?

The prisms have shifted inside of the binoculars. This is not an easy job as you have to make corrections to the angle of the prisms for leaning field and collimation. Two suggestions:
1. If they are under warranty take them to a repair agent.
2. If you want to do it yourself, there are instructions on the web about how to go about effecting a collimation. Too long to go into detail here.

Kodak M340 lens extends then retracts immediately

I had the same problem after a day at the beach. What I did was get a can of compressed air (from the computer section) and blow air around the lens as I repeatedly turned it on. It took about five cycles, but I eventually cleared whatever was preventing the lens from fully opening.

Good luck.

When i look thru eyepiece everything leans to one side

In space there is no up down right or left-- all astronomical telescopes show land objects upside down-- you can buy an erecting prism to use for terrestial viewing here--

Out of focus

Assuming you are focussing correctly. When binoculars are out of collimation the most usual effect is double vision as the optical axis do not line up. The only thing you can do is to take them to a binocular repairer. The problem is the cost. Proper repair need the use of a device known as a collimator and it is a laborious task to do it properly. Your binoculars do not carry a high monetary value and a proper repair will cost more than a new binocular of similar specs. Porro prism binoculars mostly have the objective lenses set further apart than the eyepieces. This holds true except for reverse porro prisms which are the other way round. Roof prisms have both the front and rear lenses inline.
Make sure when you focus that the first eye you use to focus with is the one where the eyepiece does not have its own focus ring (dioptre). The dioptre adjustment is on either the left or the right depending on the brand. That eyepiece should be left alone until you have focused using the center ring. Then leave the center ring alone and focus the eyepiece that has the adjustment ring.

You have to open each side ( nikon travelite covers just unclip ) to get to the 4 prisms. Once opened to clean make sure you do not break the glue that holds down the prisms ( move the prisms in their seats and your alignment is out ). Clean with window cleaner and isopropanol to finish.
