SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: cannot fill screen with normal picture size setting

assuming you all have comcast and using an hdmi cable
first access menu (hit it twice) and go to set picture format, choose passthrough....or in your case auto hdmi

then turn box off, press guide and info on the front of the box, proceed through the setup, advanced is more in depth..lol...

select 1080, 720, and then either the standard or widescreen 480s to your liking.....

voila....

now check your tv settings to accommodate

Change TV resolutions to view slide shows

Nope. The picture resolution has to be 1080 to fill the screen completely. Using stretch and zoom will distort the low rez pictures. No option to change resolution on the TV itself.

You are listed under DVD but I am assuming that you are talking about a TV. Most remotes have a button for adjusting the picture size. If not then go into the menu, into video settings and select the picture style there. How it is listed is different for every brand.

How do I adjust image so it fills the screen, side to side and to bottom?

Using the buttons on the screen, bring up the menu.
Then using up/down or left/right buttons navigate to a picture that show a squre that has arrows showing to increase screen size in the approite direction. Select this picture and use the arrows to either increase or decrease size.

Your timeous rating of this solution is much appriciated.

White dashes across top left of TV screen

That is what I was going yo suggest. You can also adjust the picture size. "Just" will show all of the picture even the distortions on the edges. "Full" will in effect overscan and trim those edges off.

Size of screen

If you have black panel os sides the picture is not HD. Not allways the HD broadcasting have HD shows. The advertising for example is not HD. Check the picture size in the tv to be "allonged" and play with the screen size with your cable box remote. Usually is # button.
From what I know LC42D62U has no TV Guide feature.

Screene size

Ok this is called Blooming, this is when the signal intesifier becomes overloaded and the signal becomes overenergized and thus unviewable. This is not an adjustable proble even thoug for a time you can force the picture "shrink" but this is not a fix, it just hides the problem. I suggest that you fide a shop on FixYa that can look at you set and diagnose which components are at fault. You can also take the unit to a Tv shop in your area if that is easier for you.
