SOURCE: Grounds in cup;water leaking.

Could be a couple of things. Clean out the channels of the coffee machine. Clean out the upper pick that pierces the K-cup. Sometimes this can start with a defective K-cup...yes, it happens.

Coffee grounds in the coffee

There are a couple things that could cause that, that I experienced:
1. I found that the water injection needle sometimes gets dirty. Coffee grounds are in it and cause the water to go over the top and wash coffee past the k-cup into your coffee cup.
You can use a paperclip to clean out the needle.

2. There is a whole in the k-cup somewhere or the lid is not properly / or strongly enough glued to the k-cup. The water-pressure then pushes coffee out of those holes around the k-cup into the coffee mug.

3. The plastic insert where you put the k-cup in is dirty itself (I have to clean it every now and then).

4. The coffee in the k-cup is ground so fine that it gets pushed through the whole on the bottom that is being punshed for the water to escape.

Kerig Vue will not come out of the preheat mode

This worked for me: 1) Turn off machine 2) Remove lower tray. It pulls right out. make sure it is clean. RE-insert. 3) Remove upper tray. It's a little trickier, put it also pulls down and out. Mine was full of coffee grounds. I rinsed it out with tap water. 4) Replace upper tray. 5) Take a used V-cup and take the foil and filter out leaving only the plastic tray. Clean it thoroughly of coffee grounds with water. Replace it in the V-cup insert. 6) Power on the Vue. It should come on pretty quick and say " Ready to Brew" run 6 to 8 oz through with just the blank V-cup. This will clean out any remaining debris. 7) Now put in a new V-cup and brew your coffee!

DELONGHI PERFECTA SAYS INSERT GROUNDS CONTAINER WHEN IT'S ALREADY INSERTED

Just had the same problem after washing my ESAM5500.
Seems that some water hot on the switch that is triggered when grounds container is inserted.
My solution was removing the bottom panel (5 screws if I remember correctly) and disconnect the green wire from the switch (there are three wires - green, ping and blue). When the green wire is disconnected, coffee maker thinks that grouns container is inserted all the time - even if it is removed.

There is a Freeze plug. Located at the rear of the engine. Also approx six more on the block. You will need to remove the tranny to replace it, The replacement part costs $5.00 The labor should be about 2-300 Go to a local tranny shop not AAmco They will rip you off. Change all the freeze plugs at the same time. If one is going out the others will follow soon. Do it soon. John

My Keurig (one year old) does not brew a full cup (I have it set for the largest cup setting) and it only brews approx 4 oz. then stops.?

1. Power off machine.

2. Using a metal paperclip, insert it into left side of top needle. It must insert at least 1" deep. Insert it into slot on right side and again from back of needle.

3. Remove KCup cradle. Separate bottom from top. In the top section, insert the paperclip up into bottom needle from the bottom upwards. It will not go all the way thru and this is normal.

4. Reassemble KCup cradle and reinsert it back into coffee maker.

5. Power on machine.

6. Brew a cup of water only. There may be coffee grounds in the water and these should eventually clear during the remaining steps. NOTE: A large cup brew cycle should output a full 8 ounces (235cc). Less means there is still a blockage

Leaking water when using my k cup

Long story short, it will leak from under the screw cap (rarely) and from the rubber ring around the puncture pin. The grounds clog the metal filter and creates pressure that escapes from under that rubber ring. I cut a thin styrofoam plate to fit under the screw cap. It's really snug for the first few times, then it will loosen up. Second is to tighten the seal between the top of the 'my cup' and that rubber seal. I used 2 styrofoam rings that sit between the 'my cup' and the hard plastic it sits on when you fit it in the hole. It bring the cup like 1/8 inch higher to the pin and increases that seal. I made many cups after that and it has never leaked. I'm looking for a good rubber ring to fit around the 'my cup' to replace the rings for the seat.

look for water leaks around pot. Otherwise do a daytime brew to compare your difference between the amount poured in and what comes out. Please note that less water should mean using less ground coffee. Suggest 1 heaping table spoon per brewed cup.
