You need to extract the files from the zip archive and then copy all the files to the usb. Then it should recognize the flash file

I WOULD LIKE TO UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE ON MY SONY KDL40EX400 LCD TV.I BOUGHT THE ?FLASH DRIVE FOR IT. HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE INFORMATION ON TO IT?

You must go to the Sony website and answer the questions about your TV. Model number etc. Then go to support and input your model again. Look for software/firmware upgrade and it should take you to the firmware upgrade and download for your Model number. Download the firmware upgrade "INSTRUCTIONS and the firmware to your computer. Then plug in a blank formatted USB flash drive into your computer and transfer both the instructions and the firmware files to the flash drive. Be sure to unzip the firmware files on the flash drive. Print the firmware upgrade instructions so you can have them there when you are ready.Special Notice!!! Read and really understand the instructions and follow them to the tee. Do not power off the TV or unplug the flash drive while the TV is upgrading the firmware. Let the TV finish.

Update firmware lcd tv toshiba 32pb10e

How to Update Toshiba TV Firmware
  1. Plug a USB flash drive in to an available USB port on your computer and copy any files from the drive that you want to keep into a separate folder on your computer.
  2. Format the drive as a FAT32 file system. This erases all of the files currently on the USB flash drive.
  3. Click here to open the Toshiba Support home page.
  4. Click "Product Support" in the menu along the top of the home page. The Product Support drop-down menu opens.
  5. Select "Televisions" beneath Choose Category.
  6. Select your type of Toshiba TV beneath Choose Family. For example, options include 3D TV, LCD TV and LED TV.
  7. Select your Toshiba TV model beneath Choose Model.
  8. Click the red "Go" button to the right of the Choose Model section after selecting your Toshiba TV model. The product support page for that specific TV model will be displayed.
  9. Select the "Downloads" tab. If there are no downloads available for your TV model, either your won't be able to click the tab or there will be a message within the tab that says there are no downloads at this time. If this is the case, no firmware updates are available for your Toshiba TV. Check back periodically, as firmware updates are released as needed and aren't scheduled.
  10. If there is content in the Downloads section, look in the Category section for an item titled TV Firmware. If this option doesn't appear, no firmware update is available. However, if this option does appear, click the clickable link associated with the firmware. The TV Firmware Update and Release Notes dialog box appears. In this dialog box you can see the size of the firmware update file, when it was released, exactly what it addresses and more.
  11. Click the red "Download Now" button and save the file to your connected USB flash drive.
  12. Extract the contents of the ZIP file on the USB flash drive.
  13. Disconnect the USB flash drive from the computer after the firmware update file saves successfully to the device.
  14. Power on the Toshiba TV and then connect the USB flash drive to the USB port on the Toshiba TV.
  15. Wait a few moments for the "Firmware file is detected in USB" dialog box to appear on the screen. Select "Yes" to update the firmware. A progress bar displays on the screen. Be careful not to turn your TV off while the firmware is updating. The progress bar changes to a "Success!" message after the update successfully installs.
  16. Disconnect the USB flash drive from the TV and then restart the TV. After the TV restarts you can resume using the TV as you normally would.

I have a Vizio Model E420VL and it gets into a state which the audio does not work (from HDMI input #1) and remote control processing in the unit also does not work. I had played around with the side...

hi,

It can be difficult to get things right on the first try. With that truism in mind, Vizio Incorporated includes USB ports on their televisions that you can use to load firmware updates onto the television. Vizio has released firmware updates only for certain television models, and the instructions for installing firmware updates vary slightly by model. To upgrade your television's firmware, you need to download and copy firmware drivers to a USB flash drive and then read and follow Vizio's specific installation instructions for your model.

1. Connect the USB flash drive to your computer

2. Click the "Start" button, and click the "My Computer" icon.
3. Right-click the flash drive, and click "Format" in the menu

4. Select "FAT32" in the drop-down menu, and click the "OK" button. Windows will format your USB flash drive with the FAT32 file system.

5. Open your Web browser, and navigate to the Vizio support Web site at www.vizio.com/support.

6. Click the "Select Your Product" drop-down menu, and select your model of Vizio television from the list. A new page will open that displays available downloads for your television

7. Click the "Firmware Update" link, and save the firmware update file to your computer.

8. Click the "Firmware Instructions" link, and read the instructions specific to your Vizio television model.

9. Right-click the file that you downloaded, click "Rename," and then rename the file to the exact name that is specified in the firmware instructions 10. Right-click the file, and click "Send to" > "E: USB Drive" or whichever drive letter corresponds to your flash drive. The firmware update file is copied to your USB drive 11. Right-click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon on the right side of the Windows task bar, and eject the device from your computer

12. Disconnect the USB drive, and plug it in to your Vizio TV's USB port.

13. Follow the steps in the firmware instructions to install the firmware update to your television.

Only you can find is the problem with firmware by udating the frimware of your tv. ok

Needs software update how do i update this tv

Does the Tv have a USB port? If so you should be able to find the firmware on the makers website, assuming the company made a firmware update for that model. If so then download it to a flash drive, zip drive and plug it in to the TV's usb port for the update! Best of Luck!

My sanddisk won't connect to my computer what do i do?

Sansa Not Recognized: Try connecting it to another computer the back straight to the motherboard thIs should be USB 2.0 and see if it will recognize it as sansa or Drive/removable drive. if it does then download the sansa update software and install it. Make sure you disconnect the sansa and connect it when asked. This will update your sansas firmware and add the Usb Mode. Try to connect it to your computer at home it should recognize IF not try a laptop.... link for update software (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe) download to a flash drive much easier. Make sure USB mode is MSC
Recovery Mode may also allow your computer to recognize the sansa

I have an 47LG LH30 LCD television, when watching shows that are broadcasted in HDTV, there is a delay between the sound and picture. How do I fix this problem?

You need to update to the latest firmware. This was an inherent problem in many LG LCD TVs released around the same time as yours but can be easily resolved by installing the latest firmware. You can call LG to have them send it to you on a USB flash drive or you can go to their website and download it along with the instructions. You will need a USB flash drive an plug it into your TV to intstall the firmware.

Menu screen keeps coming back while cable show is playing

First verify the exact Model Number of your TV. Mine is a 42PF7220A/37.

go to:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=42PF7220A/37&scy=us&slg=en

On this page I found listed under "Software & drivers" the Firmware Upgrade Software 42PF7220A/37 v1.5.0.0

I downloaded the compressed file and extracted it to a USB Flash Drive.
After you extract the file you will have 2 files...."autorun.upg" and a "readme.txt".
Print out the readme file the delete it off the USB Flash Drive
Make sure the USB Flash Drive has only one file on it (autorun.upg)

Then just follow the instructions from the "readme" file.

Fixed the "Menu" problem for me.....
