Kenwood KDC-135 remote wire

I am trying to hook up an amp for subs in my girls ride (96 Jeep Grand Cherokee) and cannot figure out for the life of me where the remote wire is. I can't find a wire that says rem or remote from the car harness (they are all labeled) and the deck (head unit) doesn't have a sticker saying what colors are what. I just wanted to know where to connect the remote wirefor the stereo.

on your amp under the back seat their are 2 plugs the one on the left which is the smaller of the 2 there is a Tan wire w/Orange stripe on it hook the remote wire from stereo plug which will be blue w/white stripe to that wire so it will power-up your amp...Bottom line, no amp = no sound, unless you figure what wires are the speaker wires and hook directly to your stereo plug............Its an easy fix

I have a kenwood kdc 139 and there is no bass at all, the bass only kicks in when i change the balance to fully left or fully right.

Check your wires to make sure they're not crossed. follow them all the way back to the radio if you have to. when it comes to subs, you have to get it right with how you connect your possitive and negative especially coming out of the amp. if you have rca's connected from the radio to the amp, then check the output to your subs from the amp to the subs, make sure theyre wired correctly. if you used your stereo wires for input to your amp, then make sure those wires are positive with positive and negative with negative. also make sure you have them hooked up to rear output only. don't use one rear and one front.

Hey Bandad, you will need 12 volts at the backup wire also. Try that and see how you go.
