What side effects could I feel from increased bilirubin?

not sure if this is what you are asking...Normal bilirubin levels are 0.2 to 1.2 mg/dL of blood. If chemotherapy has caused liver damage or dysfunction, you may notice a yellowing of the skin, called jaundice or icterus, when the bilirubin level reaches 3.0 mg/dL. Bleeding times - such as Prothombin time (PT) - may be prolonged if there is liver damage.

In which year began to apply chemotherapy for cancer patients

Chemotherapy was discovered accidentally in 1943, and widespread usage began in 1946.

The agent used was 'nitrogen mustard', mild form of mustard gas, and it was first used on patients with lymphoma.

Scientists naturally wondered if there were other such agents, and intensive research found antifolates, plant alkaloids, and many other effective substances.

STATEMENT: EMAIL HOAX REGARDING CANCER Information falsely attributed to Johns Hopkins called, "CANCER UPDATE FROM JOHN HOPKINS" describes properties of cancer cells and suggests ways of preventing cancer. Johns Hopkins did not publish the information, which often is an email attachment, nor do we endorse its contents. nicotinamide is a form of vitamin B3 and is used to prevent and treat pellagra.Niacin deficiency can cause diarrhea, confusion (dementia), tongue redness/swelling, and peeling red skin.
The dietary status of niacin (vitamin B3) has the potential to influence DNA repair, genomic stability, and the immune system, eventually having an impact on cancer risk, as well as the side effects of chemotherapy in the cancer patient.

What is the survival rate and time of a person with multiple myloma (sp?)

Hi, the survival rate for multiple myeloma depends on the stage of disease at the time of diagnosis. The earlier the disease is caught the better the prognosis. Patients receiving conventional chemotherapy typically survive from months to years, with an average survival rate of 2.5 to 3 years. Patients who receive bone marrow transplants have a better chance of prolonged survival.

Take care
