SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I cannot get my reader to turn on at all and it is fully charged. Can you give me an idea as to what is wrong with it? I have had it a couple of years and read all the time.

Did you update the recent patch? almost all generations of kindle
needed a patch update.

The latest software update for Kindle Paperwhite (6th Generation) is 5.7.3. This update automatically downloads and installs on your Kindle Paperwhite when connected wirelessly; however, you can also manually download the software and transfer the update to your device via USB cable.

Try cold reboot at a last resort.

If you want to unfreeze your Kindle or restore the factory defaults, do the following:

1. Hold the power switch to the right for 20 seconds.
2. Press the HOME button for 1 minute. Eventually you will see the screen to your right.
3. Nine times out of ten just hitting the DEL button at this point will unfreeze your machine without having to lose all your files (please note, you can replace them later but it takes time and you will lose your notes, bookmarks, and settings).
4. If that doesn't work you will have to restore the factory default settings by typing in R E S E T. As soon as you hit the T it will reset.
That's it. Please note that this is for the Kindle 3G + wifi 6 inch version.

How do I find out the age of my Kindle in case I need to update it?

There is a screen on your Kindle that shows the software version in the lower left corner. If your PaperWhite is 5th generation (2012), you need version 5.6.1.1 or higher. A 6th generation PaperWhite (2013) needs no update.

My Kindle paperwhite is frozen. How do I restart?

    Forgot my password

Did you forget the password used to unlock your Kindle? If so, you'll need to reset the device to gain access. By resetting, your Kindle will be restored to factory defaults, which means your registration information and content will be removed, and all settings will return to the defaults.

To reset a Kindle Touch or Kindle Paperwhite:
    1. Press and release the power button to turn on the device or exit sleep mode
    2. Tap the password field to bring up the onscreen keyboard
    3. Enter "111222777" and select "OK"

If you don't remember your Parental Controls password, you can deregister your device instead of resetting, as long as you're connected to a wireless network. You'll need to redownload your content, but items that were transferred via USB will be kept. Here's what to do:

    1. Visit the Manage Your Content and Devices (www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle) page on your computer
    2. Select the "Manage Your Devices" link
    3. Select "Deregister" to deregister your device from your account
Sync your Kindle, then register again.

If you need help with your Wi-Fi password, please contact your Internet Service Provider or router manufacturer.
