Question about Briggs Garden

I have a Snapper, Briggs and Stratton 550EX, I was told at Walmart that I needed to put the oil in that came with mower and also put a small container of pro 40 oil in the gasoline also. Why both

If it is a 2 cycle engine you would not need both, but if it has oil in the crankcase you would put oil into the crankcase and the other would not be needed. However, I am like you it does not make sense if the engine is a 2 cycle engine. If it is a regular engine you would not need oil in the gas. Maybe you should go back and ask Walmart to clarify what they are talking about.

fuel should never be coming out of the air filter. do you mean the pipe that goes from the engine to the air filter housing? if so thats the crankcase breather pipe and you shouldnt be getting fuel there either. if you have fuel coming out of the air filter housing then you carb is probably flooding and will need stripping and the needle vale and foat looking at

Need to adjust rubber drive clutch on 30 inch snapper mower


there are small metal beads on the cable near the pedal you move to the other side of the pedal if the friction wheel is warn you will need to replace it only 3 nuts hold it on just flip the mower up on the rear bar and take it off no fancy tools needed

Chances are you wont get a manual, just lube it up.tires probably 12 to 15 lbs .the belt is mecanicly tensioned so there is no adjustment. Check the idler pully tensoner and ingage lever for proper travel and tention

I have a Snapper Briggs & Stratton lawn mower Model Series 126T00 and for some reason it will not start.I drained the gas tank ,put fresh gas in it. I did a caburetor kit and it still will not start....


How about the key way? Its the timing of the motor. Its under the pull rope and the wheel under the pull rope. Might be cut or broke in half.
