You will find a reset button between Microphone and MicroSD card slot. Insert a paperclip into the hole and press for four seconds to reset.
If the power indicates as blue steady then the computer is fully charged and plugged in.
Amber Steady, then the computer is charging and plugged in.
If Amber Blinking, then the battery is low or unfit battery
If the indicator is Off, the computer is off.

Restore your unit back to factory default via boot up on the ACER screen, hold down ALT and tap F10.
2. Select "Restore system to factory default".
3. Enter your Empowering Technology password and away you go.

When you first turn the machine on hit F2, that will take you into the bios menu, i don't know what version your machine is using, but the information is usually on the first page, you should find it easy enough because it will be next to the CD/DVD drive.

To reset the bios in a laptop you need to unplug the power supply and remove the battery. Once you do that press and hold the power button for 45 seconds then put the battery back on and plug it in and then try starting it. Everything in the bios will be reset to the factory.

Unplug your system from the wall outlet, open your case, and touch a metal component inside the box to equalize static charge; then remove the motherboard battery. Wait 5-15 minutes, replace the battery, and your machine will be back to default state.
