Delete the driver from your system then go onto Canon and download a new up-to-date driver

This printer model _does not_ have wndows vista support at this time. Check the manufacturers website for updates

oh my friend. just click the printer icon 1)click start on task bar. 2)go to settings or printer and faxes options. 3)in there you can see the printer icon 4)just right click that printer icon 5)there u will get the option 6)beside of which option there is a tick mark that is applied/enabled. 7)if there is tick mark beside the pause printing and offline option. 8)just click that option and that tick mark will go away and it will start working.

Have you tried a "wired" connection to a different computer?
If the problem persists, then the printer itself is the problem.
Have you tried a "wireless" connection from a different computer?
This presumes that the wireless-configuration on the printer is correct,
and that the printer is "talking" to your wireless router.
Login to the router's web-interface, and check the status of all "wireless" connections,
to ensure that the printer has a valid wireless connection to the router.

SOURCE: paper jam and tore in
All paper jams are a pain.
No easy way, just remove all access points to the innerworking that ecpose the printing area, Pair of tweezers, and very gentle and carefully remove all visible paper pieces. Gently but frimly move print carriage and check for paper hidding in the general area. Just take your time and be careful.
