Microwave plate turns but does not heat anything

The magnetron is bad. This is the radar wave producer that excites molecules and makes things cook. It is a replaceable part but you may find purchasing a new one is more desirable. Why? A magnetron for a popular model microwave that is 1-3 years old will cost about $50-60. If it's an old one it can cost $189 and hard to find one available. And if it was mass produced in China with a no-name brand you probably won't be able to find parts much less customer support. Also, if one component has gone bad it won't be long before another goes bad. Good luck.

Candy microwave no power

You have blown a fuse. Check inside the oven chamber and look for missing powder paint or signs of arcing, if so there is a paint to repair microwaves for this issue or else just dispose of the microwave. If the inside is good remove all the screws and remove the cover. Replace the fuse. If the magnetron was making louder noises prior then replace the magnetron. Since the fuse went the giant capacitor is likely bad. While the cabinet is open make sure to look for burned wires, check the continuity of thermal cutoffs, and check the main circuit-board for burned traces or components. The relays in most electronics are known for arcing (spot welding) and staying in the wrong position. Tap them hard with the back end of a screwdriver. During all of this use safe electrical practices by having the power cord unplugged. The capacitor could still have a high charge on it so be careful.

If it is still new and under warranty, the best answer is to exchange it immediately! It sounds like you got a defective unit with either a bad magnatron, a bad power supply, or bad control circuitry. If you had a service man look at it and it is even worse now, you really need to exchange it. If you try to fix it yourself you will void the warranty.

please stop this silly game, its going to blow up your microwave in no time at all candy is darn nearly all suger and very little water in it,dont keep running your microwave like this its like runing it with nothing inside of it, it will age the megotron and it will then not work at all,,
a pricy mistake to make, just stick them in the oven,,,gas one that is?
or if your brave,,,, try a blow lamp, that works very well if your not heavy handed with the flame,,,,but if you keep on punishing your microwave like this its going to go with a big bang on you prity soon
